Having made the hardest but kindest decision for our much loved 15 year old Pug, Doogie we knew we wanted him to pass peacefully at home with us. We feared we were not far from the point that he would suffer a rushed emergency trip to the vets a place he hated to be. Doogie had an amazing 15 years as our best friend, who travelled with us for a year across Europe in a campervan. We had to let Doogie leave this world in an amazing way and Helen was amazing. Doogie sat on the sofa with us in his favourite spot, wrapped in a blanket while eating sausages and cheese almost up to the moment he took his last breath. Helen explained the whole process and showed so much love care and kindness to us all. Having Doogie in his home surrounded by us and absolutely no stress. He had no idea and he slipped away so peacefully. We gave him the greatest life and Helen helped us give him the greatest passing. Thank you 🙏
Read on Google →We contacted Peaceful Paws after reaching the heartbreaking decision that our darling Echo was in too much pain and discomfort to carry on. Helen was kind and compassionate in her telephone conversation with our daughter who, overcome with grief, needed assurance that we were making the right choice. We followed the advice about how to make the room as comfortable and peaceful as possible and had arranged things so there was gentle calming music playing. Echo’s best friend, Buddy, was also present, as he was one of her favourite companions. When Helen arrived, she explained again each step of the process, reassuring us that Echo would feel no pain. Once Echo was sleepy, we had time alone with her to say our final farewells. Helen respectfully covered her with a fleece which kindly shielded us from witnessing the final injection. Helen gently and quietly let us know our precious Echo had travelled over Rainbow Bridge, and gave us time to smell her fur and smooth her one last time. When it was time to part for the last time, we were able to honour our precious girl by carrying her to Helen’s van for her final journey. We can’t thank Helen enough for her calm & caring manner, and for enabling us to give our beloved, faithful friend a dignified passing. Helen also thoughtfully sent us a lovely card, reassuring us that we had, through love, put Echo’s needs before our own. Helen made our pain just a little bit less that day. Thankyou Helen. Jessie, Mike, Rebecca & Buddy

Read on Google →Helen was amazing. From arriving until leaving with our baby. She was empathetic, and so so gentle. We felt totally at ease with her. She sedated our baby talking to us all the time. At no stage did we feel rushed. She respectfully covered her with a blanket whilst she gave the final injection. We were unaware of it happening so, that made it so much less painful for us. She gently examined her after and, told us shed gained her wings. Helen then, gave us time to be with our baby to say final goodbyes. When it was time to let her go, we carried her to Helens van which, had blankets and a cuddly toy in which to lie her down for her final journey to the crematorium. I would give Helen 110% and, recommend her wholeheartedly. This whole heartbreaking situation was made easier by this wonderful, caring Lady .
Read on Google →Such a difficult day but made easier by Helen and the way she just worked around us and made it our event. Never intrusive or rushed, Helen came to us with very little notice and yet facilitated a really lovely farewell to our beloved cat Arthur. It was just so perfectly handled and has made these days that follow so much easier for us all, knowing he slipped away peacefully in our arms and with calm and love surrounding him. Thank you Helen xxx
