I honestly can’t thank Milcroft Veterinary Group enough – and especially Vicki Temple – for the incredible care they gave my budgie. From the moment I arrived, Vicki was calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate. It’s not always easy finding someone experienced and confident with small birds, but she handled him so carefully and took the time to explain everything clearly. She recommended a course of treatment that has quite literally saved his life, and I’m beyond grateful. She even followed up with two phone calls to check in on his ongoing situation. Her expertise, reassurance, and obvious love for animals made a stressful situation so much easier. Thanks to her, my little budgie is back to his happy, chirpy self. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Milcroft Vets to anyone – truly outstanding care.
Read on Google →Rocco visited the vets yesterday for his nails cut and yearly booster injection . He is not a fan of the vets and needs to have medication to calm him before going down . Helen and her veterinary nurse were so caring and patient with him, she even came out to the car to sedate him and lifted him in to the vets once he was fully asleep and called me within half an hour to say he was all done. I myself was also quite upset as it really is so hard to get him to the vets and once again Helen gave me lots of reassurance. I came away feeling much better. Thankyou all so much for your patience with Rocco 😊

Read on Google →I have taken all my dogs to Millcroft since they first set up the business some 30years ago.. I have always found there service to be exemplary. However this time i needed a lump removed from my old dogs foot. I was asked at the time of booking the appointment do i want the lump once removed sent to the lab. I said no as he is getting old and i would not put him through chemotherapy if it was found to be malignant. When i went to pick him up after it had been removed i asked the vet what it was, expecting a reply like a tumour, a fatty lump or a cyst etc. The reply i got was as i chose not to send it to the lab they didn't know what it was. I would have expected a trained vet to be able to identify a fatty lump or cyst or even a tumour. I fully appreciate without sending a tumour to the lab they would not be able to identify if it was malignant or not. I felt that the issue with me not sending it to the lab was a bigger issue than his health. They were fully aware of what to charge me though when they took £380 off me. As i said i have used Millcroft for in the region of 30 years but today i feel like i was brushed off due to not sending the item to the lab.
