Very disappointed. I have been with these vets for nearly 5 years, but have noticed it’s definitely all about money, and they are very unhelpful. It used to be a local friendly practice , but now I feel it’s more about the money than the care of my animals. I have luckily found a new practice with a lot more benefits on the monthly plan.

Vey nice but very over priced like everything these days! No concessions for pensioners either! It makes you think twice about having a pet these days. We love our pets and I am sure some people go without themselves to pay for care of their pets- which is very sad indeed. This is only my personal opinion of course!

Very kind and caring when our little Ollie boy 😽 was coming to the end of his life. He passed peacefully at home on our bed. Now we have another rescue boy 😽 Charlie. His vacs were updated at M&H . He certainly made his presence known 😹

We recently had to say goodbye to our dog Cuqui. She became very ill, very suddenly and at 12 years old, we decided she'd suffered enough. When I say we, I mean us and the lovely vet Inge, who was totally honest with us. I really appreciated this. ALL the staff are lovely at M & H. From the receptionists making me appointments while I was crying on the end of the phone, to the veterinary assistant who showed kindness to Cuqui. Poor Cuqui had had a hard life. Born in Spain, she was used for hunting for 8 years, and then after a bigger dog broke her leg, she was used for breeding for 2 more years. Luckily, a dog rescue then received her, but her leg had to be amputated. Once well enough to travel she became an Essex girl for 2 years. Thoroughly spoilt! I wish we'd had longer with her, but it wasn't meant to be. Thank you everyone at Gt Dunmow Mercer and Hughes. I would DEFINITELY recommend them.
