I honestly can’t recommend this surgery highly enough. Yesterday I had a terrifying emergency with my son’s dog, Star, who I’m currently looking after. She had a chew lodged deep in her throat and was struggling to breathe. I was in total panic, and poor little Star was extremely distressed. I rushed her to East-The-Water Vets, but the vet was away from the surgery at the time. Without hesitation, Sarah — one of the amazing team — jumped straight into my car to help. She held my very distressed dog and calmly guided me as we drove across the river to Witten Park Vets. There, the wonderful Vet Amanda quickly removed the chew from Star’s throat. They saved her! And they didn’t even charge me. The support, compassion and kindness shown to both me and Star was truly heartwarming. Vets and vet nurses often get such unfair criticism, but these incredible people went completely above and beyond when we needed them most. I can’t thank you all enough for the care, professionalism and genuine love you showed yesterday. You are absolute stars.

Carrie is really knowledgable and supportive. She’s helped us navigate our dog’s illness and he’s come back with a spring in his step. Thank you so much!

Ultra professional, caring and efficient staff. They took an emergency referral for our dog and gave him brilliant treatment to save his sight. I would definitely trust the life of my pet in their hands. Thank You! Andrew Turner and Stanley says “thanks”.

My 9 month puppy has being sick on/ off since had her (4mnths) almost every day I from 4 meals a day to now 2 meals a day and still either in night or midday sick it can be vile type vomit or thick stew consistency in not changed her food Harrington puppy food since had her being on it ! She is a scavenging puppy and take treats on walks etc so to avoid her eating horrible things but still seems to gorge on sheep’s poo etc I got her a bowl for gulping food as she was being sick after meals ! I’m still none the wiser how to cope with this and was told to give extra food before bed and what this may do to help ? Also the receptionist who I think is new was quite rude it’s the second time iv dealt with her and needs to be more polite usually staff their are very helpful but I find the last twice being in to pick up flea/ worm meds asked why iv come and if had email to pick up ( due monthly) and felt I was being interrogated! I am disappointed at the outcome although she’s wasn’t seriously ill I still wonder why my puppy is vomiting all the time? I do recommend to see a lovely vet Ashley which I now will ask if can see she has a lovely way with animals and people and I feel more at ease having anxiety and mental health problems I can get upset easily and afraid if spoken to aggressively although the vet was very nice and polite feel didn’t eliminate or help with the problem is it food allergy like my previous dog is it re flux problems? Eating too fast etc I really don’t know so if happens again I have to pay again to get the same response ? Till sorted?

We are new to the area and picked Medivet somewhat randomly. How lucky were we, 2 friendly visits have resulted in a pet plan and a clean bill of health for our Cyprus rescue Keo. He’s happy, we’re happy so good job Medivet Northam and “half a garage door barry manilo”; phonetically translated from the Greek for “thank you very much”😁 New addition from Rumania, same excellent service from Medivet Northam. Welcomed, thoroughly checked, pet plan activated, flea and tic treatment administered and we are all set; super friendly and caring staff throughout the whole surgery, thank you.
