  Outstanding care and service!! I recently moved to Tarka with my dogs as they are so conveniently located to me and after visiting on their open day, I was really impressed by their set up (not just that but as a self employed businesswoman, I wanted to support two women in business!) Both my dogs have visited and I’ve been extremely pleased with the visits. I had one of my dogs castrated yesterday and he was well looked after 🙂 and I even got updates and photos via WhatsApp! Highly recommend! 🫶🏻🐾

  The best vets I've ever had. My puppy was spayed this week. They sent me picture updates from start to finish . Absolutely brilliant service from reception to nurses to the two wonderful vets.

  Sadly I had to find an emergency vet to send my old boy Minty for his forever sleep. Despite the sad circumstances what a lovely place - Marina was absolutely fantastic at guiding me through this in the most caring and empathetic way. We were not rushed at all quite the opposite and I’m so grateful for that. Now I have found this gem of a vets I will be moving all my pets across not only is it exceptional but the pricing is very fair what a lovely set up where the animals definitely come first 🩷

  We had an excellent experience with this veterinary practice, and I’m genuinely grateful for the level of care they provided. From the moment we arrived, the team was welcoming, calm, and incredibly understanding of our dog’s needs. He can be unpredictable at times due to issues from a previous owner, so visiting the vet can be stressful for him, and for us. Despite this, we were seen quickly, and the staff approached him with patience, kindness, and real sensitivity. They took the time to get to know him rather than rushing the process, speaking gently and explaining every step so we always knew what was happening. When it came time for his sedation before the procedure, they allowed us to stay with him, which made a huge difference. Their reassurance and steady presence helped put us completely at ease. Throughout the entire visit, they kept us updated on his progress, making sure we felt informed and supported. It was clear that they genuinely cared about his wellbeing rather than treating him like just another appointment. Overall, the service was friendly, professional, and compassionate. We left feeling confident that our dog had been in the best possible hands, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend this practice.

  After owning animals for over 25 years, I can honestly say this is the only veterinary practice that has shown such genuine kindness, compassion and gentleness. One of our furry family members, Coco Pop our rabbit, became seriously ill during the night. I WhatsApped the practice and received a phone call first thing the following morning. After discussing the situation and taking the vet’s advice, we made the heartbreaking decision that the kindest thing was to let her go. The vets allowed us to take Coco home with pain relief so our children could say their goodbyes. On our return, we were able to stay with Coco right until the end, which meant everything to us as a family. In the current climate, where many vets seem more focused on how much they can charge, Tarka truly stands out. They went above and beyond in every way — care, cost, time, understanding and sympathy. Everything was handled with such dignity and compassion, and at a cost that was genuinely workable. Afterwards, we received a lovely card and scatter seeds, which we will be scattering this Sunday together as a family — a touching and thoughtful gesture that meant a great deal to us. I am now in the process of registering my other animals here, moving them from a corporate vet to Tarka, as I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. From start to finish, their care has been 100%. Thank you so much for everything you did for Coco and for our family. 💛🐰
