Huge shout out to the lovely ladies who saw my brother and his dog, Bracken in the early hours of this morning. They were extremely compassionate and professional when explaining everything to him. Unfortunately she was put to sleep and is now chasing cats over the rainbow 🌈 bridge, no longer in pain after a short period of fitting.

We contacted the 24 hour emergency vet as our 2.3kg dog had ingested an unknown amount of used coffee grounds. They were polite, concerned and professional, letting us know probable costs upfront. They saw us promptly and the situation was resolved at midnight on Christmas Eve. It was expensive but we were so relieved that we were able to obtain veterinary care at such an unsocial hour. We can recommend!

A very distressing time with Charter vets. I have to agree with an earlier post regarding 'in it for the money'. Costs are obscene, a nightly charge with treatment and night nurse costs for our cat were £1000. Whilst we were informed what and when was going to be the procedure for our cat, at no time were we ever told just how poorly our pet was and maybe to consider other options. We took advice from the CPL, who had originally fostered our cat and they were shocked that this was the case. Given the outlook and quality of life our cat would probably have, we took the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. We had him cremated, and when we went to collect him, he was handed over with "they're you go" as if he was a bag of shopping. Not once did anyone say "sorry for your loss". When we asked for a breakdown of costs, we had also been overcharged. We've since left this practice.

Ziggy our 1 year old bouncy boy had a abdominal castration today the staff were excellent. He came out so happy and as a pet owner that's all you can ask for. I was also kept informed on how he was doing. They did also find a potential grade 1 heart murmur and called me before the operation. Anything found has been caught early. I feel they was very thorough and gave us all the help & advice we needed. The nurses and reception staff were very reassuring. Highly reccomend. P.s I love the military onesie it suits us being a military family! Thank you for taking care of our baby!
