Every appointment I have had here has provided my pets with exceptional care, I cannot express my gratitude to the staff that have helped me with my pets, every phone call and appointment I have made was met with absolute care and professionalism. I also want to express my gratitude to Kara and her compassion towards me and my budgie Rozu, she did her absolute most to provide me with a chance at helping her get better, unfortunately she has recently passed but even through such a sad time, Kara helped tremendously and I couldn’t think of a better vet to have helped me and my baby through this time. Thank you Kara and all the staff at Vets for Pets Mapperley ❤️‍🩹.

In my opinion these type of chain vets just like restaurants are all about taking your money,it’s clearly obvious when I went today with my cat that they are trained in getting as much money as possible out of victims!! I was billed for a blood test before I left the vets room for her to do it..£350 for a 10 minute appointment and blood test….i was told would give the answer to a possible liver disease but was then told on the results phone chat that a scan is needed to show more!!! Purely trained in getting money first..that’s a fact

We have been with Vets for Pets since the arrival of our puppy. The service has always been great. It's easy to get an appointment and the reception staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Our dog has been spayed here and everyone was so caring and lovely to her. We've recently been for our dogs jabs and again the staff were great checking over her and discussing future health and plans and general wellbeing. 100% recommend this practice.

We have always had a good experience with everyone at Mappley V4P, reception are Welcoming & chatty, Vet consultants have always been great, treated our pets with care, listened to our concerns & explained everything regarding treatment. We are regulars with our spaniel & rabbit, Ive always been able to get an appointment if its urgent. Sadly we faced the heartache of loss of our beautiful loyal labrador last year, staff were so compassionate to us & our girl during this devastating time. My personal experience has always been positive with all at this vet practice, we are greatful for their care.

I contacted the practice to ask whether my cat could be seen one day before her Complete Care Plan renewal date, as I will be away on the renewal date and wanted to ensure there was no delay to her plan or medication. During the initial call, the receptionist, Mel, confirmed this would be fine and I could bring my cat in beforehand, make payment, and the plan would simply renew on the system on the correct date. I made it clear that this was acceptable to me. Seconds later, Mel called me back and abruptly changed her position, stating she had made a “note to herself” last year not to allow me to attend early. She incorrectly claimed this would result in my cat receiving two vaccination boosters in one year, which is not true as a full year has passed since my cat’s last booster. The renewal date itself was only moved from 2nd January to 9th January previously due to the practice rescheduling an appointment, yet I was told the system “wouldn’t allow” the date to be corrected hence why I called them to discuss this appointment. What I found most shoking was the sudden shift in tone. The second call was aggressive, condescending, and dismissive, despite no change in circumstances. I was told that if I wanted to attend early, I would have to pay outside of the care plan which raises the question of why this is supposedly unsafe within the plan, yet acceptable if extra money is paid. I have always had positive experiences with the veterinary and nursing staff, but this interaction was unnecessarily stressful, unprofessional and contradictory. Reception staff are often the first point of contact, and this level of inconsistency and attitude is not acceptable in a practice providing medical care for pets.
