Deeply let down in our cat's final months. Rough handling and missed diagnosis I want to start by thanking the reception team. They have always been absolutely amazing, incredibly kind, and it was clear they genuinely cared for our cat every time we visited. Unfortunately, our experience with the veterinary care itself was deeply distressing. Our cat was 18 years old and normally loved everyone, but she was terrified of the vet here. He was consistently very rough with her, immediately grabbing her tightly by the scruff as soon as she was taken out of her carrier bag without trying to calm or comfort her first. More importantly, the medical care failed us completely. A few months ago, we brought her in with clear, concerning changes, including an uneven, milky eye, circling behavior, and a change in her depth perception. We asked specific questions about these symptoms. The vet refused to perform basic exams, dismissed our concerns, and told us she was fine. Tragically, her health declined severely over the next three months. When we finally sought a second opinion at another practice, we were told she had advanced heart problems and a suspected brain tumor causing the circling. She had been in significant pain and had to be put to sleep immediately. If the vet had taken her symptoms seriously and handled her with the gentleness a senior cat deserves, we could have prevented months of hidden suffering. I am writing this to urge other owners of senior pets to trust their instincts and seek a second opinion if their concerns are dismissed here.

Read on Google →Super vets, really helped me out, at 5am (out of hours) when my dog Mac was so poorly… he ended up staying in over night. Everyone was so helpful and kind to us, no hesitation to use this vet again, and really reasonably priced too. We are all so Thankyou for getting our boy better. Sam, Emily & Mac
Read on Google →Love Maldon Vets, staff are always so nice and the vets are so good with my dogs. 9 weeks ago my Cocker Spaniel had puppies, I couldn't of asked for more support when the delivery didn't go to plan. All went well and I'm so grateful for their help.
