Absolutely awful experience! Our cat was booked in to have some teeth removed, shortly after leaving him with them we received a phone call from a very worried Vet telling us our cat had something stuck in his throat which wouldn’t allow them to get a tube for the anaesthetic. They went ahead and did an xray without our permission and charged us £150 for it. They later told us they couldn’t get in touch with us (yes me and my partner have jobs and not sitting at home all day with our phones, crazy I know) We were then told that our cat would have to be sent to an expert to have a camera down his throat, all for the sum of £2000! The following day we took our cat to Medivet in Danbury and the whole dental care was sorted straight away. No issues, nothing stuck in his throat. Couldn’t have been any simpler. And it was half the price that Elm House were trying to charge us. I’ve seen this whole Vet scandal on the news recently about them over charging and misdiagnosing. I would be very very careful about using this place. The whole thing just seemed very off. Do your research and find a better place. Like I say, I’d recommend medivet in Danbury. Lovely guy in there, helped straight away with no problems and again half the price. We complained to Elm House to try and get some money back and they Just sent the usual rubbish in an email, apparently 3 of the vets have combined experience of over 60 years but couldn’t get a tube down a cats throat. Ridiculous

Brilliant vets. Have been going here for 15 years now and they've cared for our cats and guinea pigs and always done an excellent job.
