Genuine care and a personal touch, the vet consortiums can never match this. This is something increasingly rare; an independent, locally run practice. I cannot recommend Madra Veterinary Clinic highly enough. After the loss of my father, himself a vet our family was left caring for Albert, a blind Bengal cat who leads a far more complex life than most. Albert had relied entirely on my father, including for the regular cutting of his nails, which in a blind cat is a genuinely serious matter when left untended. This was an incredibly difficult time, especially for my mother. Jess and Lucie handled it with extraordinary compassion, on two occasions when they took care of Albert and make sure he was safe. Their sensitivity, particularly given my father's own background in the profession, meant a great deal to mum, and their communication throughout has been warm and genuinely caring. It reminded us of how my father ran his own surgery; real care and a personal relationship with animals and families alike, rather than the impersonal feel of the larger consortium-owned practices and the value for money is excellent too. Albert is doing well, my mother is hugely grateful, and so are we. Thank you, Jess, Lucie, and everyone at Madra. You are everything a veterinary practice should be.

After a bad service from a very big well known vets in Cheltenham who have in the last year gone down hill. I decided to move over to Madra and the service is night and day! From our first appointment my dog felt calm within minutes spent with Jess and we went back a week later to make sure my dog definitely felt comfortable and met Ben who also handled my Tibetan Mastiff with a gentle, calm but confident energy. After 2 years of begging my original vets to give my dog a proper looking over we finally got a plan to move forward with Jess! The reception team are also lovely, calm and attentive! Honestly guys you are a real 💎 to have in Cheltenham. Thank you!

Bear had his first visit with Alastair at Madra Vets last week, followed by his castration the week after. The whole experience was brilliant — a beautiful, welcoming practice and such friendly staff. The procedure went smoothly, and Bear is now a very happy boy… even if he’s missing a little something! Thank you for taking such great care of him.

Honestly, the best care from a vets we’ve ever experienced. Nothing is ever an issue — we popped in on the off chance and Ben still made time to see us quickly. The level of care and genuine passion really stands out, and it means a lot to us. Thank you so much!

Ben, Jess & the team provide excellent customer service, quality of care & value for money at Madra Vet Clinic in Cheltenham. From the first call & friendly welcome in reception through the professional service to the quality aftercare for our dog Dexter, the Madra team exceeded expectations every step of the way. They even submitted the insurance claim form, only charged us for the excess fee & scheduled a check up to ensure everything was well. So if you’re looking for a friendly, professional, value for money vet, then take a look at Madra.
