Over the past 33 years we’ve had five dogs, and moved to this vet with our latest rescue. This is, without question, the best veterinary practice we’ve experienced. Booking appointments online is straightforward, and every member of the team is friendly and welcoming, always taking extra care to help our rescue dog feel comfortable, especially on arrival. During the first year we have also needed the emergency service, which was handled quickly and professionally during the night. At each visit we feel heard, and the vet takes time to explain everything clearly without ever making us feel rushed, also taking time to put our pup at ease too. We’re part of the Pet Health for Life plan scheme and feel it offers real value for money. Most importantly, we always feel confident that our dog is in safe hands—and she actually seems happy to visit, which makes the whole experience calm and stress-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this branch; the team consistently goes above and beyond. Our most recent visit was with Jenny - we were really impressed with her knowledge & understanding, she was friendly & professional too 10/10
Read on Google →Amazing vets. So kind to Stanley when he needed treatment. The staff are lovely and even phoned the next day to see if Stan was okay. At our previous vets Stan was always panting and tense when we went into the practice. When we went to Village Vet St.albans Stan was so calm and relaxed. Lovely people. Thank you so much.

Read on Google →I feel very dissatisfied with our visit to this vets. My dog had a seizure on a Saturday night and this was the only vets near us that was open. When we got there the vet asked us to bring my dog into the room to check him over. I had to stay and give my details to the receptionist which wasn't going in the system so was taking a while, my daughter and son who were visibly upset had to take our dog in, the vet was asking questions that my children didn't really know the answers to. When I finally got into the room the vet was just picking my limp dog up and showing me that he had lost control of his legs (something I already knew as this is why I came to the vet) The vet told me he had not had a seizure as he wasn't showing signs that he had had one! I told him I know what a seizure was as my last dog died in my arms from one! The options were they keep him overnight or we take him home and "see how it goes" All the time the vet was just picking my dog up and down and leaving him in a heap on the side. I felt the vet couldn't get is out of there quick enough. There was no comparison and zero thoughts on what he suspected the cause of seizure. Cost £230 and we was in with the vet all of 5 minutes and leaving not knowing if our dog would even survive the night. I was not leaving my dog with the vet from by the way he was handling our dog. We've since found out our dog had a stroke and all the symptoms were clear so should have been spotted. Would not use again I'm afraid.
