I have been with this practice for a number of years. Now just gotten a new puppy and the whole team are amazing. The receptionist are friendly and welcoming but truly professional. The vets and nurse staff are caring and eager to put owners and pets at ease. Bonnie had her injections and a microchip fitted with no issue. Brought back a few days later with upset stomach and again the vets were amazing gave her some pro biotic and sorted her straight away. Best vets in the area. If you want the best care for your pets then bring them here.

Can't speak highly enough of Derwent Valley Vets... We are really so blessed to have a guinea pig specialist (Dr. Ellie) practically on our doorstep, and she is amazing, both with my guinea pigs and with me as an owner! I have full confidence that my precious pets are in the best hands. The Receptionists are also brilliant: friendly, warm and professional, and seems to have a genuine interest in any animal that comes through the door!

We recently changed vets to Derwent Valley and they have been outstanding. We visited initially with our puppy Angus. Lisa the vet was extremely kind and knowledgeable, making Angus first trip to the vets a positive one. We came again with Angus and our cockapoo Murphy today and Charlotte the vet was wonderful - so loving to both dogs and made their experience a happy one. The receptionist was fantastic helping to distract one of our dogs who is often rather vocal with love and treats and making our visit another lovely one! Thank you to the whole team ♥️

Always a good experience at Derwent Valley Vets. I found Ellie when researching for a Guinea Pig specialist, she is so knowledgeable and thorough with guineas. I wouldn’t take my Guinea pigs anywhere else. I’m not local so she is always happy to provide online or telephone consultations too. Thank you Ellie and the practice !

BEST VET PRACTICE YET! over the years I’ve dealt with many vets be it horses or dogs and I must say, in the short time dealing with DVV, they have excellent be it front desk laddies or the vets themselves! I had one of my beloved dogs PTS and they moved mountains at short notice to do the upsetting dead at my home as my dog hated going to any vets and I was an emotional wreck! The vets showed so much compassion to me and my dog. The next occasion dealing with DVV was due to me looking after my parents dog who wasn’t registered with DVV but this didn’t cause issues. Being extremely worried about the dogs health the receptionist was able to get me an appoint quickly and chased the registered vets for medical history. The vet was on the case! We did have to re visit to run bloods etc but the vet was clear and precise to every next step. The dog is now fully recovered. To my surprise the vet practice phoned to follow up after the weekend. Not only is this practice ozzing with compassion they clearly care for animals and owners too!! Customer service is very much alive here. Who thought dealing with a vet wound be a pleasure. Thank you DWV. Michael 😀
