I am writing to formally express my complaint regarding the standard of care and professional conduct I experienced at this veterinary practice. My cat was admitted for oral surgery and was confined to a cage for several hours prior to the procedure. As a result, I was unable to collect him until approximately 9:00 p.m. Following the surgery, my cat was returned to me in a visibly distressed condition, with significant swelling to his face and head. I was then informed that the procedure had been unsuccessful due to a malfunction of the practice’s equipment. Subsequently, I was advised that my cat may have been suffering from several potential diseases and was strongly encouraged to consent to further diagnostic testing, quoted at a cost exceeding £150. I declined these tests due to the absence of clinical evidence and the lack of any proposed treatment plan. Despite my refusal, I later discovered that diagnostic swabs had been taken without my consent and that I was charged for these procedures. In the days following the failed surgery, my cat remained in a compromised condition. When I contacted the practice to request further examination due to complications arising from the initial treatment, I was informed that he would not be seen unless he was sedated. This was justified on the basis that the staff wished to avoid the risk of injury and potential liability towards me with a bill to follow. I found this response unacceptable, particularly given that his condition was a direct result of the care he had received at the practice. Based on my experience, I believe this veterinary practice failed to provide an acceptable standard of care, acted without proper consent, and demonstrated a lack of professionalism and duty of care.
Read on Google →After moving to Tewkesbury two years ago we made the decision to take our two elderly cats to Diane at Crescent Vets and we have not regretted it for a minute. The personal attention that each cat receives is so much better than our previous experience with a large group practice. Diane is always looking at the wellbeing of the animals, discussing alternative medication rather than just issuing repeat prescriptions all the time. Sue on reception is always helpful, often fitting appointments in at short notice. We appreciate the Care and attention given to our animals, and would happily recommend Crescent Vets to pet owners in the area.
Read on Google →We have two cats and recently changed our vet in Tewkesbury preferring to go with an independent practice. The reception staff were exceptional as was the Diane the vet. We were unfortunate that our female cat had contracted feline leukaemia, and deteriorated so rapidly that she was put to sleep. unusually, this was carried out in the reception area so our cat was disturbed as little as possible. This process could not have been carried out more kindly and limited the distress for the cat and us. All in all we lost a cat which was a shock but we were grateful for the best experience under the circumstances. Thank you all.

Read on Google →After having an awful experience with another vet in the same area, I decided to take my cat Pickles to Crescent. I registered him, signed him up to the pet plan and had an appointment within 24 hours. Not only was I seen without judgement, but the whole appointment was so thorough. Pickles was comfortable through out the whole process, and the vet really went above and beyond. They kept my current financial situation in mind and I really felt listened to. (I’m so sorry I cannot remember her name). I will be returning with Pickles for our future care for as long as we are in Tewkesbury and would honestly advise anyone else to go there! Thank you so much 💜
