I love County Vets in Alsager. They are excellent with my feline family. Today I took one of my kittens, Loki, for his pre-op check-up. He was weighed and had hos chest and heart checked. I asked if it was possible for Loki to have a flea & worm treatment. The vet gave him some drops on his skin and a tablet. I prefer the treatment that vets use, it actually works and is a better grade of product. I was supposed to take both my baby boys but Colby escaped his carrier before I left home so I will take him separately. It is too much for me to carry 2 cat baskets. The vet pointed out that my carrier was not a safe one because Loki could push the zip from the inside to create a gap to get out of. I was mortified so once we came home I ordered a new one with locking zips to prevent any escaping. There are main roads around near the vets so I dont want any of my cats to break free. The staff are all very lovely and kind. Loki is going next week for his castration. It prevents Tom cats from wandering off to look for a female. At the moment my baby boys only go into the garden and play. If its too cold they come straight back inside!!

County vets we have been coming to for the last 5 years until last week. I attended with my black Labrador on the 8th October he has had ear issues for the last 3 years on an off but it has been getting worse to the point he can’t hear which is effecting his mood. I was once again given the same ear cleaner and also ointment for his ear, I was told they would take a swob which would be extra this isn’t a problem as we will do anything for our lab we where charged nearly £180 for this visit we have been prescribed this same treatment on and off over the years and it does nothing, county vets just keep saying he’s doing well for his age the visit prior to this we put a complaint in as the vet didn’t seem bothered when we attended and was dismissing anything we said we did get a call so we thought we would attend to give them benefit of doubt but I wish I hadn’t. I decided enough was enough I did some research and went to CheshireVets in Winterley who on the first visit identified that the ear canal was so built up we needed to take action which meant today he has had a procedure today called Video Otoscopy which has been successful and as soon as I picked him up he could hear me talking which was amazing. We are very angry that my lab has been suffering and this vets have been taking our hard earned money and for what nothing. Cheshirevets Requested our notes for Rosco and when county vets called for authority at no point did they ask why I was leaving if they can afford to loose business like this then that’s up to them. I am very disappointed and finally just to add the opening hours 3 days a week for a vets is pointless.

0 stars for the vets. 5 stars for the desk staff. If you want the best care for your pet DO NOT TAKE IT TO ALSAGER COUNTY VETS. We took our pet in as it had breathing difficulties. The young vet was very brisk, zero sympathy or compassion, just stated "this animal needs an emergency procedure." At no point did she state the risk associated with the procedure or the benefit to the animal. Wanting the best for our pet we agreed for the procedure to take place. Later that evening we got a call saying to pick our pet up - the same vet just handed our pet over, and only then told us that there was a high risk our pet would die, and that she needed to be taken to emergency care immediately. When we questioned why our pet could not be kept in at County Vets rather than moving her again she literally laughed and said, "we don't keep them in." They were still happy to take our money for the procedure and follow on medication. We rushed our pet to the emergency vet in Longton but she died on the way in great suffering. If the vet had taken the time to explain the risk to use we would not have put our pet through such an awful ordeal, and would have had her put to sleep painlessly. As it was, they just saw the pound signs. And laughing at upset owners was just unprofessional. Kudos to the desk staff who were sympathetic and who refunded the follow on medicine when I returned it unused the next day. SUMMARY: If you want the best care for your pet DO NOT TAKE IT TO ALSAGER COUNTY VETS.

We booked our Sprocker puppy into County Vets Alsager for his puppy vaccinations (and taking advantage of their Healthy Pet Club.) The service is great, the staff are really friendly, full of good advice and professional. The building is spotlessly clean. Would fully recommend in a heartbeat.
