  Looking for a new pets veterinary practitioner and was recommended by a friend to check out cavan vets bushbury. On arrival large car park very spacious for customers. Approach the main entrance clean and tidy apart from a large puddle of water by the plant inside waiting for a accident to happen ( took 10 minutes to clean up). Receptionist very friendly and helpful and she said her colleague loves pugs. So I showed a couple of pictures of my pug who passed away Feb 10th 2026 suspect of pyometra, she explained to me in depth about what is the best way to deal with it. Then a woman came out of the back to clean up the puddle of water gingerish hair in her 30s white taned. Very rude and unprofessional to interrupt a conversation with the receptionist and make a comment to me the customer who is finding out information about care of their pet. She replied are you still here in a disrespectful way ( New customer). Didn't clean up the puddle on the floor completely correctly still left it wet. (use a dry mop and bucket) and then put a wet floor sign. Didn't even use a bucket so you would have a water trail all the way pass reception counter.. further accident waiting to happen. Any way the receptionist apologized for the way she spoke to me, trying to stick her nose into a conversation with me and the receptionist was very unprofessional and inappropriate. Sorry for putting this negative review regarding cavan vets bushbury but when you are asking for professional information regarding health care for your pet there's always some tries to knocks you down. I hope the management re-trains her for customer service because the loss of another customer who pays for a service, pays for the bills for the business to keep going. Had to give 1 Star in order to write this review because review would not be given on no stars.

  Saturday 14th Feb, I took my old girl down to the vets who was diagnosed with cancer in April 2024. Unfortunately, Daisy was so poorly & in pain we had to have her put to sleep 💔 We saw a lovely gentleman and the best vet I have ever come across named Hugh! He was absolutely brilliant throughout the most painful thing I’ve ever been through. He was kind, polite, considerate and couldn’t apologise enough for our loss. He looked after our Daisy so well, giving her cuddles & telling her how brave she was. He gave us so much time before & after the procedure so we had plenty of time to let Daisy go and say goodbye. I can’t thank Hugh enough for making the worst day of my families lives bearable! Thank you so much. Love Daisy Evans’ Family! 🩷

  Disappointed with Cavans… have been coming here for years as always found the pricing to be reasonable, however today have spent £415 for a blood test and an in-house quick analysis to come back all clear, an antibiotic injection and a wormer for a cat. At these prices, it is no wander rescues are up to there eyeballs with dumped / neglected strays, some people can’t afford these prices!

  Excellent professional & kind when we visited to euthanase our much loved family dog of nearly 17 years. The vet spent a long time discussing him & listening to us (we were emotional of course). When it was over he took payment in the room & then led us through a back door so that we weren't on show in reception. It could not have gone any better, for the sad event that it was. Cavans have looked after our dog for all of his 17 years & we can't fault them. Highly recommend.

  I can't thank all the staff here enough. My girl fell really poorly overnight and I was afraid I was going to lose her. She is now doing so much better and I couldn't be more grateful. Every single staff member there are amazing people and I will be forever thankful.
