Sadly had to say goodbye to our 17 year old lurcher, Rusty, last weekend. Unfortunately our usual vet hasn't done home visits since the covid lockdowns. Determined that Rusty should pass in the comfort of his own home we contacted Julie of Rainbow vets. Such a blessing to us, she came out, on a Sunday, at very short notice. Kind, compassionate and very competent. This fantastic lady assisted our Rusty over the rainbow bridge perfectly. We have always given our dogs the very best life we can and I'm so very grateful that, with Julie's compassionate and calm help, we gave our much loved old lad the best end of life care possible. We have 2 other dogs and, when the time comes, we will definitely be contacting Julie again.

There really is no words to describe the care and compassion Julie showed towards Chips our springer spaniel and us as a family especially towards our two daughters that didn't want to leave his side, she explained everything to us and made sure we understood what was happening and time was not an issue, It's reassuring knowing that he passed peacefully with the people that loved him the most in his own bed at home . THANK YOU Julie we are so great full to have found you.

There are no words to thank Julie enough for what she has done for our little Sam at the end of his life & for our family, she truly is an angel without wings. We’d been worrying about the dreaded day since Sam’s diagnosis of prostate cancer. We always had to be muzzle Sam prior to vet visits, this was something we wanted to avoid at the end of his life & our wish was granted by this amazing angel in disguise,Julie. She listend to our fears, concerns & needs regarding what we wanted & what we felt was best for Sam at the end of his life.We were amazed how calm we all were at this very difficult & sad time and this was most definitely due to the excellent end of life care care that was given to him by Julie in our home. We were so nervous regarding what was going to happen,Julie did an excellent job making us all feel at ease, due to her professionalism & expertise also by answering all our questions & reassuring us throughout every step. We would recommend Julie to any family that’s in need of excellent end of life care for their dog❤️

We found Julie from Rainbow Vets to be understanding and sympathetic to our situation. Our Great Dane Bailey was a nervous dog and barked at strangers but Julie didn't react so he soon settled down. Everything was kept very calm and without stress which helped my wife a lot. We are very grateful for kindeness shown during this service. Many thanks Julie.

We messaged Julie on Sunday after a hard weekend with our 15 year old Collie, Patch, we explained our situation and she mesaged soon after giving us the option to call and speak about it, or if it would be easier we could message. She immediately understood and booked us in for when we asked for. She talked us through the whole process and was compassionate the whole way through. It was extremely peaceful, and we're so happy he could go in the comfort of his own home. Julie helped take away all of the stress of visiting a vets, and nothing felt rushed or forced. We would recommend Julie if you're ever in need as she made us feel comfortable, and Patch went peacefully with dignity.
