Excellent vet been going to this vet many years and I’m always impressed with the no nonsense advice and the way he diagnoses your pet’s health issues is quite frankly spot on and That only comes with years of experience which this vet has in abundance so I can’t speak highly enough about this vet

So disappointed. Been taking our cat Molly here since she was 9weeks old for yearly check ups. She’s 14 now and follow a range of health problems recently she had to go see specialist at Chester gates. The specialist issued a prescription for Clopidogrel tablets so rang Cambridge Road vet to see if they can dispense and order them in for us and Alan the vet said “we don’t stock that” so when I asked if he can order it in for us he said “no I won’t be ordering that in, I’m very particular on what I order in and I won’t get in for you, you can get it online” I can’t get it online as that takes 2-3 days to be delivered and need it hopefully by tomorrow. How rude and unwilling to help. Will get it dispensed at Chester gates now , was just looking to see what price it would be at my vet which was Cambridge road but won’t be visiting here again. Very rude.

I used to be registered with another of the old family vets in the area. Unfortunately (like many others) that vets was eventually taken over by a big, faceless company & prices began to rise drastically. My pet requires medication to manage allergies, by 2025 the tablets I was paying for had a whopping mark-up of 3512.5%. This meant that instead of paying 8p per tablet, I was paying £2.89 per tablet. This began to make accessing treatment for my dog prohibitive. I tried shopping around with the newer vet clinics that have popped up in the area and found that they're all largely run in the same way; massive markups, big fees, impersonal care & incentivised to sell things. I decided to make an appointment with Dr Ross based on family & friend recommendations. I am so glad that I did. Dr Ross' approach to care is professional and pet focused. When I paid the bill, which included the consultation & medications it was a lot less than I was expecting. I almost felt like it was a mistake! I'm incredibly thankful to Dr Ross for his no-nonsense service. I find his direct way of communicating extremely refreshing & he always gives sound advice. I now recommend Dr Ross & Cambridge Road Veterinary Clinic to all of my friends, family and strangers whenever they're wondering where to go with their pets.

Dr Ross is a no nonsense vet of the old school, the animals are first and foremost and not a bank balance, fairly priced and you don't get overly priced medication, I live in Eastham and would rather visit him than the four local vets that are vying each other for the being the most expensive.
