We have been using B& W Vets for many years for our horse and always receive good service. I think the incentive for the Vaccination for strangles BOGOF is a good idea saves owners money whilst protecting the animal community.

B&W have been absolutely exceptional to me since I’ve owned my own horses. They’re knowledgable, kind, empathetic and they always calm me down. They have endless patience with my anxiety as I get really worried about doing the wrong thing! Knowing I have such kind experts on the end of the phone makes a massive difference. From the vets to the reception team, I haven’t had any contact that hasn’t been excellent. Thank you so much for all the care you’ve given so far to my horses and for all the care you’ll give in the future, it’s very much appreciated.

Vets themselves are good but the Corporate money driven policies not good at all . Being a customer who has always paid her bills I object to the demand for pre payment as a visit condition . Whatever happened to the time honoured professional behaviour, service then payment ? Even equipping vets with card machines for payment on the day would be preferable . I pre paid on my last visit and the vet was not properly instructed so arrived unable to do the job , with hindsight I should have asked for a refund ! And whatever happens to that horse with colic whose owner can't pre pay the estimated cost ? My advice is to source an independent practice with policies set by the vets themselves who put their professional duty of care first . The problem with Corporate owned practices is that the vets are robbed of autonomy ,denied the right to use discretion or treat clients as individuals , policies are mandated from HQ .
