The Renew Centre is absolutely incredible. Rachel, Emma and the whole team are all brilliant- they are extremely knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. We went to Renew upon a recommendation, as other vets and physios couldn’t work out what was wrong with our Cocker Spaniel Bobby, who developed a bad hop. The initial assessment day was a great experience, the team made us feel so at ease and we had a member of the team with us the whole time. When Bobby was under general anaesthetic and was being assessed, Rachel, Emma and the team would talk us through what they were looking for and answer any questions we had. Since the initial assessment, we’ve had multiple check-ups with both Emma and Rachel and I’m delighted to say Bobby is making a great recovery. I am infinitely grateful to the whole team. It’s thanks to Renew Bobby can have a normal and fun life again! Thank you Renew.

We had our first visit today and I’m honestly blown away by the service and expertise the renew centre offers. When pepper was diagnosed with IVDD by our usual vet, with little evidence or imaging to back it up, my friend recommended renew and i booked in as soon as I could… I’m really glad I did, because from the initial assessments and look at scans today, it doesn’t appear to even be IVDD, and the weeks of strict crate rest & medication the vet prescribed pepper weren’t what she needed. Rachel and Emma were so thorough when checking pep over, she had a full CT scan and ultrasound, then treated with chiropractic, acupuncture and shockwave therapy, all whilst under GA, so no stress for pepper. All the ladies who treated her were amazing and so knowledgeable. I really appreciate their honesty and how upfront they are about costs and expected rehab & results, they answered any questions I had and I left feeling really reassured that pepper is in good hands. I was able to stay with pep pretty much the entire time, which whilst a little emotional and scary for me, I was so relieved to be able to see pep in and out of her sedation 🩷 All the staff here are so lovely and welcoming - Abigail was the first person I met and she immediately put me at ease. I’m sure the vet nurse was called Lucy that stayed with pepper most of the day (sorry if I’ve misremembered your name!) I really appreciated her attentive and gentleness towards pepper, it’s so reassuring when animal care providers actually do treat your pet like their own. Thank you all, you’re awesome 🩷

  • I genuinely don’t even know where to begin. After multiple vets had told me that my dog’s pain was not real, after being told it was behavioural and ignored I cannot thank The Renew Centre enough. From the moment we met the team, I knew we were in good hands. Since he’s been in pain, Chip has been less tolerant of handling (of course!) Also had some hands on vets which has made things a little worse. Charlotte (one of the vets) was incredible and read Chip’s body language. She approached him side on, completely hands off and let him do things at his own pace. This meant Chip had a stress free experience, and for that I am so unbelievably grateful. Rachel & her team… wow. The knowledge of this place is absolutely insane. The amount of depth they go into, and they share the knowledge with you! Nothing is gate kept. I highly recommend The Renew Centre. If your dog has pain, they’ll find it. From me and my dog, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever felt listened too 🥺💖

  • I honestly can’t recommend The Renew Centre highly enough. From the very beginning, the team were incredibly helpful in arranging Luna’s appointments, scans, and visits all within the same day, which made such a difference as we were travelling from far away. One thing that immediately stood out to us was how considerate they were with anxious and nervous dogs. Luna was the only dog being seen at the time, which avoided the stress of a busy waiting room full of other dogs and made the whole experience far calmer for her. Every member of staff was so patient, understanding, and compassionate with her throughout. After having our concerns dismissed elsewhere multiple times, The Renew Centre immediately recognised and diagnosed Luna’s hypermobility. It was such a relief to finally feel listened to, understood, and believed. I also really appreciated being allowed to stay with Luna while she woke up from her anaesthetic. As she struggled with separation anxiety, I know she would have panicked without us there, and that level of understanding and care meant so much to us. They created a very clear plan moving forward, and even now, two years later, they continue to be incredibly supportive by helping send Luna’s diagnostics and information across to other centres. The level of care, professionalism, and compassion we received was exceptional.

I visited Rachel and her amazing team at the Renew Centre, Uley, Gloucestershire in August 25 with my beloved sprocker Ziggy. He had shown intermittent lameness in a front leg put down to a variety of causes but not resolved. Having excelled in agility for 4 years, I asked our community for advice and the Renew Centre came out tops. It was a 2hr 45min drive from Sussex, but worth every second. The continuity of care, explanations, and involvement throughout a full day of investigations was something I had not seen at a veterinary establishment before. This is the best chance of avoiding a life on anti inflammatory drugs that Ziggy has, and we are hoping for a good outcome.
