Wonderful vets staff are really friendly and its easy to make an appointment. So thankful to all the staff who treated my little Budgie Cookie back to health after an infection, he was seen same day as me phoning up, and is now back to his usual self. So happy to have found a vet that will see and treat Budgies. And will most definetly be returning for all my budgie(s) health care needs as and when required.

Awful experience. YET AGAIN. It’s such a shame because veterinary staff and vet nurses are fantastic but I wish I could have found another exotic, not the same since it’s been taken over and no longer deserves its reputation purely down to customer service. The reception team (not all of them, some are absolutely LOVELY including the blonde lady and short haired lady) and the clinical director Anna are Insincere, lack compassion and always manage to cause more stress at an already difficult time. More front of house training needed to be considered a place fit for people to bring their sick animals. veterinary Knowledge of rodents is very good but poorly managed and customer service appalling!!! Never known anything like it. Becky the vet gives great updates and good communicator but it’s a shame I had to go through multiple poor consultations to eventually get to her. One consultation I was very distressed and I walked into a room with two vet students observing… without prior consent. Is it not best practise to ask a client if they are ok for work experience to attend? It became more a training room for them than addressing my concerns. I’ve had to make multiple complaints across the years and avoided going in at all costs….. I seem to have to email after every visit. This time was thankfully my last as I picked up my cremated pets ashes, but what an unnecessarily dreadful experience?! The receptionist was incredibly rude and insensitive. She didn’t even make eye contact or acknowledge me as she was too busy typing. Multiple bad experiences enough to put me off ever owning another chinchilla for fear of going back there!!!! A true shame

I rarely write reviews, but felt the need as we’ve struggled for years to find an exotics vet who is knowledgeable on guinea pigs and am glad to say that search is over! One of our Guinea pigs Womble had been suffering a gradual weight loss with no real sign as to why, luckily Becky at Anton vets was able to identify a cyst tucked away in the back of his mouth, which was removed in surgery and am happy to say he is recovering well and gaining weight. Becky has been fantastic throughout, generous with her time (calls in the evening to explain the surgery and answer any questions, and post op check ins), and shown excellent attention to detail and care to Womble. Compared to past experiences at other non exotic vets, it’s been night and day and I can’t recommend Anton vets and Becky enough. Everyone we’ve dealt with there have been friendly and polite, and despite a bit of a drive to get there it’s been well worth it to get the right care. Thanks Becky and everyone at Anton Vets for your help

My rabbit fudge got referred to anton vets as his was very poorly to the point where he could have passed away. I have to say this is an outstanding vets practice. The vets and reception staff are the most kindest and friendliest and went above and beyond to help my rabbit and thanks to them all his now home and back to his normal self which is so amazing to see. So would just like to say as massive thank you to all the staff that helped ❤️
