  If you’re looking for a personable, affordable and honest independent veterinary practise look no further. We were recommended to Andy the Vet and Friends after a poor experience with a multi-branch practise in our area, who we felt had overcharged us for a routine visit. We’ve now been registered with Andy the Vet and Friends for over 2 yrs and delighted with the difference. That difference is best explained by the relationship and attention Andy brings to looking after your pet. Always happy to chat through the best way forward and never recommending unnecessary and expensive treatment. Pricing is fair, transparent and the personal service is second to none. They even have a separate quieter waiting room if your pet doesn’t feel comfortable with other dogs that may be waiting to be seen. This is how vet practices used to be and thankfully there are still some like this available. Highly recommend.

  We honestly cannot thank the whole team at Andy the Vet and Friends enough for everything they have done for Odin over the last few weeks. From the moment we first came in worried about him, every single member of staff has been kind, compassionate, thorough, and incredibly supportive. The level of care and attention Odin has received has been amazing, and they have made what was a very stressful time feel so much more manageable. Odin has now officially been given the all clear and his wound has healed beautifully. We are so grateful for all the dressing changes, check-ups, reassurance, and genuine care shown throughout his recovery. One thing that really stands out is how comfortable and happy Odin feels going there. That says everything about the environment and the people working within it.   Andy and his team are absolutely fantastic. From the very start — even just making the booking — right through to the end of submitting the insurance claim (thank you, Liz!), the service was truly 5-star throughout. Andy was kind, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which immediately put us at ease. You can tell that Andy and the rest of the team genuinely care about both the animals and their owners, which was such a breath of fresh air after experiences with vets who can make you feel like just another customer walking through the door. The whole experience felt calm, thorough, compassionate, and incredibly reassuring. Nothing ever felt rushed, and every member of the team made us feel supported and cared for at every step.   Andy's the vet received our cat from a stranger when he was hit by a car. They went to every effort to find us and looked after Gizmo perfectly. He was well enough to come home to us the same evening. Everything was explained to us thoroughly, including cost estimates. Very pleased with the service we received.

  We were recommended to this vet, and our first time using them, were very impressed. Lyndsey saw one of our rescue dogs, and showed compassion, giving us a realistic consultation on the dog's needs, who is clearly in a very poor condition having been dumped. Lindsey took time to call me back to discuss the outcome fully, as I was not present at the consultation that took place with the fosterer. Needless to say we will be using this vet’s regularly for our rescue dogs
