I had a spaniel that was riddled with arthritis from the age of 3 we found out I did everything I could for him hydro tonnes of different medication whilst I was very unwell and unable to work. He contracted an ear disease that was hard to get rid of and he was miserable being limited. I booked him in at 6 years old to be put down as he needed an operation on all 4 joints and due to being unable to work I couldn’t afford this. I got some medication from the pdsa as I wasn’t working and came here so he could get labrella. When I book him in they questioned it because of his age fair enough so my mum went up to make sure they were aware of all the medication he was on and if there was anything else we could do I would try it but he was on everything he could be on to help without operation. When we went to have him put down Sophie hadn’t read his notes and came in saying she wanted to change our mind and try medication that we had already told them he was on and she made his last moments so stressful and he got so upset I will never forgive her for his last Moments. After I got upset and told her to feel how bad his legs are and that I have tried so much paying £50 for hydrotherapy for 2 years every 2 weeks. She thought because I got upset and said I had no money when she started talked about removing his ear canal that I was putting my rock and support system down because I couldn’t afford to give him any medication no I was at my limits and so was he. I couldn’t watch him day after day miserable because of the pain. I loved him too much. All the other staff has always been so lovely and that’s why I took him there to make him comfortable as he was used to going there every 4 weeks for injection and now his final moments seeing him so stressed made it even worse then it should have been. Other staff are only reason I’m giving 3 stars.

Fantastic vets! Sophie & the team are always so lovely, especially with one of my dogs who is very scared of the vets from an incident at another practice when she was young. Wouldn’t ever think of changing!

This is long over due. Sophie and her team go above and beyond to treat your pets with a wealth of knowledge and care. Sophie and Louisa gave my gorgeous lab Eddie (12.5 years old) the most dignified end of life care while I fell apart. I have never felt judged when I have returned with my cat Toffee and would start crying about losing Eddie. There is always a smile and whatever the question , the answer is always there. We are the proud owners of a rescue black German shepherd puppy now. This is where we could really see the hard work and love that is put in, for months we seemed to be visitors at least twice a week due to our puppy having so many health problems due to the neglect she suffered before we adopted her. Once again Sophie and the team went above and beyond to help our puppy on her road to recovery along with supporting us. We are forever grateful for the out of hours phone calls to check how our puppy was doing. Your all amazing - if your reading this and are looking for a practise who will truly care for your pet then meadow Hall is the place.

You will not find another vet like Meadow Hall locally. Sophie has created something very special, and should be super proud. It's such a relief to have a vet that you know will always only ever put the needs of your fur family first, and give you as much time as is needed. Sophie and all her team are so friendly and fantastic at what they do. Their higher tier pet club also offers unlimited consultations as part of the package, along with all the usual benefits. It's such good value. If you feel let down by your vets, please try Meadow Hall, you won't be disappointed!! Thank you for everything you do Sophie and team. Keep being awesome 👌
