We travel across from the other side of the Wirral to visit Acorn Vets with our dog, who is a sensitive and smart collie, because the staff here are so clued up about animal behaviour. The many accreditations that the clinic holds should speak for themselves, but I highly rate vets Becky and Rhiannon (apologies for those I've not met and can't recommend) as well as all the vet nurses. Rachel, the lady who handles the insurance claims, is efficient and communicative. Our dog's welfare is always considered first, whether that's the medication she could take before coming in for stressful handling or whether that's the team providing more information on what a (e.g.) blood test will involve so I can practice a fake test with our girl before the day. I think Acorn also offers opportunities for dogs to come in and do some socialisation work in quiet times. A fab place.

Read on Google →Very disappointed. I declined emergency triage on Saturday and booked a standard 10:15 Monday appointment instead, yet was left waiting over 30 minutes past my slot with no communication. This level of service isn’t acceptable. Wasted 1hr 30m of my day and the poor cat had to go through the ordeal of the journey and the wait for nothing. Will be returning to my usual vet.
Read on Google →Fantastic vets, really trust them looking after our 3 Ragdoll cats. They are very cat friendly, explain everything well and throughly with no rush. Building is great, parking and friendly staff. We have recently switched to them and wish we had years ago. The special cat waiting area is such a good idea. Highly recommend.
Read on Google →Acorn Vets have consistently shown real compassion and professionalism every time I have visited. The staff, both front of house and the veterinary team, have been empathetic and genuinely caring during some difficult moments. The practice is immaculate, well organised and has parking which makes life a bit easier when you are already stressed. What sets them apart is that they do not rush to tick boxes or push you through. They focus on solving the issue for the animal while also recognising that there is a worried human standing there too. They strike that balance perfectly. A great team and a practice that really feels like it cares.
