  Avoid this practice if you want your pet alive. I called in this morning regarding a cat who has difficulty breathing and was in clear distress. The receptionist asked some very basic questions (“is the cat breathing?” “Is the cat’s gums pale?” “Are there any other symptoms?” “Are there any chemicals around the house?”). I explained the cat is struggling to breathe, is panting and his mouth is open. The receptionist told me “panting is nothing to worry about if there’s no other symptoms, he is fine - entirely up to you to bring him or not, we only have appointments later in the day”. Clearly the situation was an emergency and needed to take the cat to a different practice. The cat ended up needing CPR and has a life threatening condition which Wood Wharf Vets have dismissed. I will be submitting a case to the appropriate regulators because this is clear negligence.

  Was given an appointment within two hours as my dog had a potentially infected paw. Right from arriving, we were seen very promptly by May, the vet. Not only did Coral the nurse check us in, she had to hold my dog who who clearly trying to avoid the whole thing. They were very gentle and soothing in word and tone to him. We got given clear advice and medication as to what to do next. Sergio the receptionist also was kind enough to offer water. Thank you all from the two of us. Great service.🐶

  We’ve had a fantastic experience with Wood Wharf Vets. From the moment we walked in, Liberty on reception was welcoming, friendly and made everything feel easy. Louie was brilliant with our pet – professional, knowledgeable and genuinely caring. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel completely at ease. It’s obvious the whole team really cares about the animals they look after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wood Wharf Vets to anyone looking for excellent veterinary care.

  Really happy with this vet. Our Shiba is a nervous wreck at appointments, but the vets here are consistently calm and gentle with him — never rushed, always reassuring. Bonus points for one of the easiest online booking systems I've used. Would absolutely recommend

  Very helpful and friendly practice. We had a last minute request for assistance as we found a tick on our cat last week. Wood Wharf vet managed to get us in with their nurse to help remove the tick safely at a reasonable price. I rang a few other vets before that who wouldn't help because we were not registered with them or they were fully booked. Wood Wharf vet listened and understood it was not a real emergency but serious enough that we needed help. Well done for taking time to understand and help. Our cat is very grateful.
