My daughters horse was looked at by Leehurst with an outcome we did not want to hear that it had wobblers syndrome and should never be ridden again as a danger to her or any rider. This did not stack up with the information we had from a 6hr highly regarded vet in the Cotswolds. After moving the horse to Rainbow vets some weeks later, it was clear that horse did not have any form of wobblers and that it had mild spinal inflammation and could easily be corrected with mild medication and light working for a short period. Had we listened to Leehurst vets, there was a very high chance that the horse would have been destroyed and daughter would have been multiple thousands out of pocket, glad we never listened, so be warned anyone to not take what this vet tells you as gospel, as it clearly is not the case here
Read on Google →I am so impressed with Leahurst Equine Hospital. The stables and yard are immaculate, and the communication from the vets, vet nurses and all the staff was brilliant. I was so nervous about my pony staying there and having surgery, but upon arrival I immediately felt reassured that she was in the best possible hands. I received regular updates on how she was doing, everything was explained very clearly, all of my questions were answered thoroughly, and I was allowed to visit her regularly. Thank you to the entire team for taking such great care of my girl!
