  Lottie consulted on a pony in the liveryyard where I keep my two horses. She placed the entire yard on lock down quarantine without communicating with any of the horse owners. Second hand information and misinformation has caused discourse anger and confusion throughout a livery yard that had previously had a wonderful atmosphere. She did not commmunicate the situation her concerns or the diagnosis on the pony or give any reason for the quarantine of the entire barn as well as the human owners. Second hand information was that there was concern for strangles but that it was not confirmed and later that it was in fact not a case of strangles. At least 6 horses in the barn have been vaccinated for strangles yet she ignorred this and quarantined them anyway. She did not divide the risk into the three color zones that are part of the isolation protocols for strangles. My horses would have been in the green zone as they have had absolutley zero contact with the pony. The pony was also placed in isolation across the road where it has remained. My horses are fit and healthy and like all the others had tempertures taken twice a day for the past two weeks without any elevations or other symptoms yet they are all still in complete lock down. My horses legs are stocked up now as are several other horses that have been continuously confined to their stables. None of this is in the horses best interests especially the vaccinated ones. Still no reliable information from this vet. Very poor practice very poor communication. I will never use this vet.

  Lottie what can we say. You have been an absolute gem to us. You gave us incredible insight and optimism when we needed it most and when we needed to be practical and realistic you gave us your courage support and guidance to make the right decision. In our darkest moments you were with us and we can not thank you enough. Highly recommend wouldn’t use anyone else.
