Moorlands Veterinary Centre has cared for our family pets and my dogs all of my life but never so much needed as the last 12 months. The care shown to my Ralph over his lifetime in particular his allergies has been amazing, and in the final weeks of his life I could not have wished for better care both for him and us as a family. For Roxie, she wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for Cathy and for Joe. A local independent vets with out of hours care in this day and age should be treasured x
Read on Google →I rushed my cat Roo to moorlands vets after he was unfortunately hit by a car. I really couldn't have hoped for a better team of people to help him, they did all they could and more and I'm very very grateful. Unfortunately Roo's injury was to much and he fell asleep on the 18th December. I'm so grateful for the all the great care that he had I couldn't have asked for more Thank you so much Especially to Joe, and Katie
Read on Google →I brought my pup here last month for her first injection and to be chipped. The two ladies were fantastic and gained my pups trust with a lot of fuss and treats first. They were brilliant. Unfortunately when I returned for my pups second injection last Monday 1st Dec, it was awful, we had a different lady this time, and it was very traumatic for my pup, it took a few attempts to do the injection, after actually one attempt she had already put the needle in and then took out to get a smaller needle. My pup was crying and was getting quite distressed. When we got home my pup was afraid of me as she thought I was the one doing it to her, as I had to try hold her still. All day my pup hid away from me. it was very upsetting. I emailed the vets straight away to express my concerns and how the experience left my pup, I still have not heard back from them!!! I was very poilet and actually alot nicer than what I should of been In the email!!! and yet I still heard nothing back from them!!! Luckily my pup is back to her happy loving self again. But I will not be bringing her back to this vets.. I have been advice by many different people on where the best vet in leek is, and I will be registering her there. I wish I had read the reviews befor I brought my pup here! as a few of them are very upsetting from the outcome of your discusting service!!
Read on Google →After my puppy cut his tail I took him to moorland vets .. to cut a long story short he has a blood clotting disorder . First time they sent him home pouring blood out and I had to take him back an hour later . After this I was back everyday for redressing they were making no progress and took me and my partner into a room and suggested we put him to sleep .at this point I decided to change vet and they had him sorted in 1 week . An obvious lack of capability , knowledge and compassion . I have now decided what’s left of the bill they had been racking up daily , they can take me to court for .. and I urge anyone else to do the same you cannot charge for a service that your not capable of providing .. when I was questioning what they were doing they make you feel like you shouldn’t question there professional opinion if you can call it that . But after taking him to a better surgery where the vet explained everything they were doing to help the healing was wrong and what he had done had the issue sorted in a week after numerous vets dragging it out for nearly a month at moorland vets I was quite right to question them and take it upon myself to seek genuine professionals . If you love you animals steer well clear of this place .. and if you do visit keep an eye on them , your wallet and don’t let them advise you to put a healthy 4 month old puppy to sleep .
Read on Google →Excellent care for my 18 year old cat (Scratch) over the years. Throughout they have been realistic and appropriate in their testing and treating, only completing what will improve her quality of life. It was clear throughout they don’t complete unnecessary testing minimising stress to her and ensuring the bill is reasonable and not extortionate. Recently when the time was right they came to our house, ensuring she was comfortable and calm right to the end, which I cannot thank you enough for. It has been obvious throughout that they really care about your animals feeling personal and not business like, putting you instantly at ease. Thank you
