I cannot express enough my thanks to the wonderful staff at Taverham Vets when my dog Daisy had somehow sliced a very nasty gash in her leg which would not stop bleeding! She was seen out of hours and immediately attended to by the vets and nurses. After many stitches and a big bandage she recovered very well and was back to her mischievous self within a week or so. I would recommend Taverham Vets for their kindness and caring particularly to myself and Daisy when it was needed most.

We entrusted Taverham Veterinary Hospital with our beloved dog, Monty, during one of the most difficult times our family has ever experienced. Sadly, our experience from start to finish left us deeply disappointed. Whilst we appreciate that not every outcome in veterinary medicine can be successful, our concerns relate to the way we and our family were treated throughout the process and afterwards. Following Monty’s passing, we raised a number of serious concerns with the practice. Despite extensive correspondence over several weeks, we feel our concerns were never properly addressed. Instead, we received what was described as their final response, advising that they considered the complaint closed, despite our continued dissatisfaction. Throughout what was already an incredibly distressing period, we also had to deal with ongoing discussions regarding outstanding fees, which we found added unnecessary stress to an already heartbreakingly situation. Although our pet insurance contributed significantly towards the account, we have been left feeling that customer care and compassion were lacking when we needed it most. Our family has been left devastated by the experience, and we genuinely believe the complaint could have been handled with far greater empathy, openness and professionalism. We appreciate that others may have had different experiences, but based on ours, we cannot recommend Taverham Veterinary Hospital. We hope the practice reflects on how it communicates with grieving pet owners and improves the way complaints are handled in the future. We now have a new puppy and have changed vets we should have been more vigilant to a company that sent out leaflets offering a discounted first consolation hope this reviews helps.

Absolutely shocking. My beloved dog passed away on 20th March. He was euthanised at Taverham vets, having been attending that practice all his life. I returned to the vets later that afternoon to request my bill which I stated that I would return to pay the following day. When I did return the next day, they tried to charge me nearly a hundred pounds more than the bill I had been given, citing that the girl who had generated it had done it in a hurry and therefore incorrectly. This is the last thing you need to be doing the day after losing a much loved part of your family - wrangling over an incorrectly issue bill. It was extremely distressing. The matter was eventually resolved later in the day, and the original bill was honoured "as a gesture of goodwill". It has taken nearly three weeks to have his ashes returned to me, and I have collected them this morning, only to find out that the engraving that I ordered is completely missing from the casket. Multiple calls to Taverham vets went unanswered, and having sat in a queue for almost 15 minutes, I eventually drove back down there to report the problem. There were no receptionists on the phone or serving other people. I have now returned home with no resolution as yet, - the crematorium is in Cambridgeshire. An extremely distressing time for myself and my family has been exacerbated hugely by encountering problems that should never have happened, and have further heightened the grief of losing a loved one.

We took our very 'big & bold' tabby-boy Dylan in for his annual vaccinations and health check. Dylan is a 'rescue-boy', and though he's very full-on at home, at the vets he's like a timid little lamb! but the vet we saw was absolutely smashing, very reassuring and gentle, and I do feel the confidence he exuded made Dylan feel secure - and definitely ready for 'treats' for being such a good boy.

Thank you for helping me with my major last night. Major had got into a tussle with our other dog and managed to injure his eye. Taveham vets got us in straight away. Gave him 10/10 care. You may have saved his eye.
