  Great service. All the staff, from reception to vets are lovely and very helpful. They were fab 18 months ago when our 12 yr old mini schnauzer had to be put to sleep. They were all wonderfully supportive then. And now that we have collected our new 11 we old mini schnauzer puppy we have very confidently put her health in their hands.

  I have been a loyal client at Swaffham Veterinary Centre for over 15 years, bringing my pets in for every issue and buying my flea and worming treatments from them monthly. I never had a problem until my most recent visits, which highlighted a shocking change in their billing practices and absolutely appalling customer service. Recently, I was charged a £45 consultation fee, £27.60 to have my dog's anal glands emptied (something a groomer can often do much cheaper), and £39.97 for an ear solution that is readily available on Amazon for £16. What really shocked me was being told to return the following week, and then again today, and being hit with a full consultation fee for every single follow-up visit. In 15 years of coming here, I have never been charged multiple consultation fees for direct follow-ups on the same issue. I was unhappy and asked to speak to the manager, Kelly. She defended the 150% markup on the ear solution, claiming they couldn't get it cheaper, and tried to tell me my previous uncharged follow-ups were just "drop-ins." When I told her that I found the charges extortionate and that I would not be returning to the practice, she literally smirked at me and said, "Off you go." I went to the reception to pay my bill in full and asked the receptionist for Kelly's name. Hearing this, Kelly approached me and tried to backpedal, insulting my intelligence by claiming she didn't mean it like that and was just saying "our consultation was done." It was entirely unprofessional and downright rude. As a manager, you should be de-escalating situations, not smirking and dismissing a 15-year loyal customer. Finally, with all the recent news and CMA guidelines about veterinary practices needing to be transparent with their pricing, I looked around the clinic yesterday. There was not a single price list displayed anywhere. If you want transparent pricing and to be treated with basic respect, look elsewhere. I will be taking my pets and my monthly business to another vet.

  I have been with this practice for around eight years and, over the last three years, have needed to visit quite regularly with my pets. The care and attention we have received has always been exceptional. The vets are knowledgeable, caring, and take the time to explain every diagnosis, treatment option, and outcome in detail, which is incredibly reassuring. The reception staff are always polite, friendly, and helpful, whether arranging appointments, answering questions, or offering support during what can sometimes be stressful situations. It is clear that the whole team genuinely cares about both the animals and their owners. I am very grateful for the excellent care my pets have received over the years and would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a professional and compassionate veterinary team. 🐾
