AVOID. They do not prioritise your pets best interests Kitten had Dental issues - they recommended castration and extensive blood tests rather than addressing the actual issue. Luckily got a second opinion and the dental Issue has now been dealt with. The other vet was also able to do the same tests by taking blood from the animal conscious and get us results on the same day. Saving us ALOT of money and quickly reducing the pain my pet was in Unsurprisingly we’ve now registered our pets elsewhere and they are changing me £60 for cancelling my pet plan

If you have a cat or a small dog, they're your Vets, otherwise avoid!! Constantly given conflicting information on procedures and on numerous occasions made to feel like we were a problem. On top of that when I asked for information on the side effects of a medication I was told to Google it! Many people that have large dogs avoid S&N because they just don't know how to handle them, which is an incredible shame. I would like to point out there are a couple of LOVELY veterinary nurses that we came across that were incredibly friendly and tried to help where they could however all their hard work was squashed by the constant change of information.

My wife has already reviewed these guys based on their care of her rescue hamsters, but after the last week with our new cat Bumblebee I need to add one as well. These guys have gone above and beyond looking after him, and I've never seen a vet where everyone from the reception to nurses to the vets themselves are so happy to see a pet. We got him from a local rescue that unfortunately neglected to get him bloodwork done and so it came down to us to identify the issues with him after adopting him. This has been a heavy cost on us but Spritz & Nash always did their best to minimise it without impacting Bee's quality of care. We've used previous vets around us that eventually got bought out by big groups and have gone downhill, and I hope this never happens with Spritz & Nash because the quality of care here is unmatched compared to other vets around, and they should remain proud of that.

Update 26/02/2024 It has been over a year since my first review below. However I feel the need to elaborate further. In the past year I've been in and out this vets basically every month. They have taken care of countless rescue hamsters that were in my care. The staff are always friendly and forthcoming, even me with major phone call anxiety can call them without my hear rate spiking. It is always easy to get an appointment and there's always space for an emergencies. Not once have I been made to feel like I'm worrying too much. My worries were always taken seriously and the vets always took as much time as needed for the consultation. Nothing ever felt rushed. Although hamsters being small animals, treatment plans were discussed even if the medication is hard to dose. Basically, the pets welfare is number one priority, just as it should be! My animals were handled with care, they clearly know what they are doing. During my mite infestation, the vets were kind enough to examine a sample of the parasite to confirm my suspicions. However my most excellent experience was earlier in January. My hamster Rhubarb has had a growth in her ear which got nastier by the day. The vets performed surgery and removed the lump. I was terrified of losing her as she was already an elderly hamster, however the vets did the most amazing work, I cannot praise them highly enough. Rhubarb was operated on in the morning and I was able to pick her up in the afternoon. The nurses were so kind, showed me pictures of Rhubarb when she was waking up after the surgery. I also had enough time before her surgery to properly say goodbye, in case she wouldn't make it. The aftercare was excellent, the consultation a week after included in the surgery cost. Rhubarb has healed beautifully. Thank you to the entire team for taking such good care of my animals. I cannot recommend you enough! Original Review: Came here for a second opinion on my elderly dwarf hamster (exotics). They handled him carefully but determined as he is quite a rebel. He's now got painkillers which were not given at the first vets, and I'm very happy about our route that were going onto now. My hamster is old yet he is still full of life and not ready to go, so we're making his last few weeks as painfree and enjoyable as possible. Thank you for seeing us!
