About this practice
Shetland Vets has been caring for animals in Shetland since 1985, operating three surgeries across the islands. They offer comprehensive veterinary services for pets, equines, and farm animals, catering to the diverse needs of the local community. The practice prides itself on a dedicated team and provides a 24-hour service. They also show commitment to environmental preservation by stocking sustainable products and aiming to reduce their ecological footprint as part of their business strategy. For pet owners, a Pet Health Plan is available to spread the cost of essential treatments, offering discounts on medication and dental care. The practice also provides a convenient online repeat prescription service. Regular island visits are conducted to Yell, Whalsay, Unst, and other outer isles, ensuring veterinary care is accessible to those in more remote locations, with specific schedules for each island.

Great, friendly staff helped me with doggy import problems. Fine people!
Read on Google →A very friendly welcoming practice.
Read on Google →I'll be honest and say my first experience was fine, understanding I couldn't enter the building whilst I pet was put to rest. Then I go to collect, I'm partially deaf and heard "I'll collect it" when the woman returned I said admittedly abruptly "I hope you said her vs it" where she laughed and said "yeah sorry" I called after that as she then shut the door, to get rude service, told I'm very rude and transferred in mid sentence. Not what you want experience wise, I admitted to her on the phone I'm hard of hearing so just wanted to clarify the situation but was met with a very poor attitude. Not happy as there isn't much choice on the island vet wise and their job is meant to be a caring one which, they didn't meet the standard of today.
