Fiona and her receptionist were brilliant with our little, elderly rescue Hen Bluebell. I could hear Fiona talking to Bluebell as she was taken off to be examined by Fiona. Although we know our little Hen is nearing the end of her life, it is very reassuring to know we have Fiona nearby for further excellent advice and support. Thankyou to all the team

I unfortunately ended up with a very sick dog,I said I'd do anything to help her,get all the money I could and was told I'd never be able to afford it and the best thing to do would be surrender her,I had my hands tied behind my back. Bare in mind, the first phone call we had I made them aware of my finances ,they was okay with it and okay with payment plans. None of them cared and was rude,I'm absolutely destroyed and iv not spent a single minute of the day not thinking about my poor dog,she made our family complete and now me and my partner can barley say two words to eachother cause of how much its impacted us.

Not happy with this vets, the service is shocking and I find it concerning that people aren’t allowed in the practice… my kitten came in for the spaying deal, my kitten is returned in hours… not even recovered from the anaesthetic failed to mention that she was still unsteady on her feet and struggling to stand up or still… then looked at her stomach for it to be plastered in glue!!! I asked the receptionist over the phone and she said only a tiny bit should be applied! Her stomach was covered in it and rock solid! To top it off she is now being treated for a nasty infection!! Also they cut her nails that short in surgery that she coursing get up her cat tree or the sofa! No need for that. Penmellyn had confirmed that this is short and not acceptable! If you love your animals don’t take them to this vet’s! Wish I knew before!

Fiona and her receptionist are both incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and go above and beyond. I found her via the British Hen Welfare Trust’s recommended list, who I got my rescue girls from. Very few avian specialists are avail and it’s v upsetting when they get ill without the right expertise but Fiona was kind enough to email me with detailed advice on another hen, before I’d even registered and once the girls were registered she was able to see my poorly bird the same day I rang. She swiftly prescribed the right meds and I even got a follow up call the next day. All this from a one vet practice who are incredibly busy. With most of the vets taken over by US Corporates who charge £70 just to walk in the door, it’s lovely to find a small practice with the personal touch, expertise and very fair prices.

Although our experience with this practice was heartbreaking, Fiona and her staff were wonderful. Our little dog Poppy, was treated with dignity and respect, right to the end and so were we. They accommodated our request to spend time with our baby, so that we could say our last goodbyes.
