Used this vet on a recommendation from a friend of my wife for euthanising a beloved pet dog of ours. First impressions of the receptionists should have warned me to about-turn and walk out, as I received a filthy look for forgetting my mask (which were no longer mandatory) My appointment time was 10am on 9/2/22 so I arrived at 9:58am hoping and expecting to go straight in and be seen on time to keep to a minimum, mine, my daughters, and above all, my dogs anguish and despair. 10-15 arrived and I was still sitting there, so I enquired to the ‘receptionist’ as to why I was waiting and all I got in return was a curt ‘the vet is busy, she won’t be long’ so I returned to my seat. 15 minutes later, I was still sitting there so again, I approached the receptionists (two of them this time), only to be told ‘we’ve already told you the vet’s busy’. At this point I pointed out that their attitude is a bit off, only to be caught in a slanging match when these two so called professionals started shouting and caterwauling at me. I had to shout at the pair of them to shut up as I was a customer and I had every right to speak. I told them I was cancelling my appointment as the customer service is absolutely appalling and I got back in return ‘ok, byeee’. This episode is bad enough, but considering what my daughter and I visited the vets for in the first place it’s a downright disgrace, the way we were treated. These people, they’re in no way, shape or form receptionists, are not fit to work in an environment where decency, compassion and consideration of others is an absolute must. They have none of these qualities and are a disgrace to the practice. The vets who work at this practice may well be kind, considerate and professional but I will never know, as I will never put myself through having to face the worst pair of Malevolent and uncaring people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Fortunately, my daughter rung another practice ( Greenways in St Annes.) they told us to come straight away and our beloved dog was treated with nothing but kindness and compassion.

First time at Robert Jones’ this week with Maui, I’d just like to thank Katie on reception for getting us in so quickly and supporting us whilst we were there. Thanks also to the lovely vet for taking such good care of our little cat. Would highly recommend.

    • I've been to several different vets with my cat Patch but Robert Jones is the Vets I trust the most with my baby, I am autistic so struggle with health anxiety for my cat & trust issues because hes my baby, so I question myself alot on whether Im making the right desions due to worrying about him. However out of 3 different vets in Blackpool, Robert Jones being a 4th, Robert Jones is where I felt like my baby was safest & most confident with his care he has received, I moved him due to location convenience and wanting a second opinion due to my own anxiety for his health just for my own mind just so I could be sure I'd done all I can more for my own head. However Robert Jones is where I feel like my cats care was cared for most effectively by far! Robert Jones also care for my dog too and do a fantastic job, I fully trust them with all my furbabies over anywhere else in Blackpool, they was also very compassionate & supportive when my dog passed away & the care he recieved was always fantastic. Me and my family have used Robert Jones for years! And would truly recommend this lovely welcoming vet! Thank you, Patch's Mummy

I brought in a homeless cat for a check-up and no check / consultation was provided. When I asked why I was being charged a £63 consultation fee if no consultation took place, the receptionist Rachel argued with me and said: “it’s not the professional’s fault that your cat is unmanageable and go somewhere else.” Rachel’s attitude was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Rather than showing any empathy or offering advice, she argued with me and dismissed my concerns. This is not how a receptionist at a veterinary practice should treat people who are simply trying to help an animal in need. I was only in the consultation room for a couple of minutes and feel I paid £63 for nothing, as I received no service — only a quote, which should be provided free of charge. In effect, I paid £63 just for a quote. I also have two cats registered with this practice and have had them here for years, and I am in shock at the way I was treated by the receptionist.

Must thank Tina the vet today. Our little Chief cat was so poorly. He came of an age beyond any repair and ended his time in my arms with Tina's loving care and professional service 🐈‍⬛️ Have used this veterinary practice for many years with my rescues. The best 🧡
