Recently our wee dog had to have major surgery for a luxating Patella. Vets4pets Rayleigh were just amazing. From initial diagnosis, finding the right surgeon, pre operative information, helping us understand the procedure, thru the operation itself, and especially post operation/aftercare, I cannot begin to say how amazing they have been. The staff from nurses to vets have been caring, helpful and so professional, and I can’t thank them enough. I’d like to shout out the Practice Manager for all her much needed support and for making the stressful situation for us so seemless. Thank you to everyone involved, you really are the best. I couldn’t have wanted that journey with any other veterinary surgery.

Read on Google →I was disappointed by this clinic’s judgment toward owners who use training tools such as prong collars. Blanket opposition to certain tools ignores the reality that dogs are individuals and that humane, skilled use matters more than ideology. What’s especially concerning is the inconsistency, head collars, which many dogs find even more aversive due to facial pressure and loss of control, are often accepted without question. I expect the response to this will be something like “we only promote force free methods.” That sounds lovely in theory, but what happens when those methods don’t work? In real world cases involving large, reactive, or dangerous dogs, purely force free approaches are not always sufficient. When owners are told that humane, effective tools are unacceptable, options shrink. I’ve seen firsthand what happens next, and it isn’t pretty: dogs lose homes, are warehoused, or are ultimately euthanized because no one is willing or able to manage them safely. In the real world, dogs with serious behavioral issues sometimes lose their lives when handlers and trainers are unwilling or unable to manage them safely. Dismissing effective tools outright does not improve welfare, it can limit options for dogs who desperately need them. Veterinary care should be evidence based, not driven by training politics.
Read on Google →Have been going to Rayleigh Vets 4 Pets for a year now. Overall appointment times tend to be better than the Southend branch, however they haven’t ordered my dogs medications when requested. I asked on 2 separate occasions to order them and to confirm the delivery date which they told me they did, yet when my partner followed up with them, they advised the meds hadn’t been ordered at all. Very disappointed as now we are without the medication for nearly a week until it arrives in stock, after a 2.2k medical bill in order to attempt to mitigate the issues our dog has as it needs lifelong treatment; ensuring she gets her meds is the minimum we can do to avoid further issues so we are hoping this delay doesn’t worsen things.
Read on Google →😁 We are more than impressed so far after our first real visit here with our two kittens. We changed to Vets4Pets after a personal recommendation, and I'm glad we did. All of the staff are excellent and very informative. Will be visiting again for a follow up after our cats surgery. Would I reccomend them... yes 100% 😁👍🐈🐈
