About this practice
PDSA is a national veterinary charity that provides free and low-cost veterinary care to pets whose owners are struggling financially. They operate across the UK, offering a range of services to ensure that pets receive the necessary medical attention. PDSA focuses on keeping pets and their owners together by alleviating the financial burden of veterinary treatment. PDSA is special due to its charitable mission, providing essential care to vulnerable pets. Their animal awards programme, educational initiatives, and focus on pet welfare highlight their commitment beyond just veterinary treatment. They rely on donations and community involvement to fund their services, distinguishing them as a welfare-driven organisation. PDSA offers various ways to contribute, including monthly and one-off donations, gifts in Wills, and opportunities to volunteer or participate in fundraising. Pet owners can find information about services and eligibility on their website, along with pet care advice. They maintain a network of pet hospitals and clinics, and further assistance can be accessed through their contact channels.

The PDSA is fantastic. They are always there for our dogs. They are so understanding of our worries when we take our dogs in with something wrong. Our first dog is free and our other two we only have to pay £25 to see the vet, although I pay the £25 for my first dog too, as it is a charity and while I can pay, I will. £25 is nothing compared to private vets. Oh and I'm so glad to see one of the male vets has come back from years ago. He's fantastic.

Read on Google →Very friendly and always helpful. I pay for my treatment but cannot understand why so many that get their pet care free at the PDSA don't give donations.
Read on Google →For a charity that "cares" about animals, not very caring, called to try at least get some advice over the phone about my sick animal and was given a cold hearted semi polite version of "go away and go find a private practice" because i wasn't registered there. Phoned a private practice where i was given alot of free advice by an extremely polite well mannered person who had my animals wellbeing at heart not more concerned about registration.
