We recently moved our dog to this vet in Westhoughton. Our dog is an extremely anxious and reactive dog. Here they are extremely accommodating and understanding of our dog’s needs. They let us bring our dog through the back door, and the vet was the loveliest man. So considerate, patience and caring. They went above and beyond to make sure our dog felt comfortable as he could. We really appreciate it and couldn’t recommend this place more.

Remember the Westhoughton branch from years ago and still would never have any of my pets seen to there. Hoping it's a more professional place now but I remember being worried that my elderly cat may have cancer and upon seeing the vet there he said " oh you're worried because you've had cancer yourself ". I was totally confused as to how he knew. Unbeknownst to me the admin lady ( who lived across the road from my mum and chatted to her frequently) knew my medical history and told the vet. I couldn't believe it...I was completely gobsmacked. My private, confidential, medical details passed around a vets. A stern phone call was made and I did get an apology and some flowers, but I could have escalated that breach of my personal data alot further. Pike moor vets were very very lucky it wasn't reported higher up. I've never forgotten it. I'm sure it wouldn't happen again but unfortunately I've never regained my confidence in this place and my current cat is cared for by Companion care at Middlebrook. They're professional and all round excellent.

I take our very large, friendly but anxious German Shepherd here. Due to his dislike of being inside, we arrange to have his booster done outside. Robin the vet is superb with him. Friendly, informative, confident and efficient. It’s not easy having a dog treated that people can find intimidating on looks alone. Great surgery and always flexing to what the customer needs.

A very nice and kind woman helped save the life of a hedgehog that we found in our garden. Free of carge! Thank you! 5*service.

When I arrived new to the area last year with a very poorly elderly cat, the team at Pike Moor were empathetic and incredibly caring. I take my other cat there and they continue to be helpful and caring, and just as importantly, they don't offer treatments just to bump up costs to owners. I would absolutely recommend Pike Moor to anyone looking for a new vets.
