  I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but I can honestly say that the care and compassion I received from Ocean City Vets has been incredible. After my puppy Crumble became very unwell and I wasn’t satisfied with the care I was receiving from another vet practice, I called Ocean City Vets late one day for some advice. Despite being due to close very soon, they didn’t rush me on the phone at all. They were so thorough, reassuring and helpful, and organised an appointment for us first thing the next morning. My puppy is incredibly nervous at the vets, but they treated her with such kindness and compassion and took their time to make her feel comfortable. I went from having a very poorly puppy to, within a week, seeing her bouncing around and full of life again! They sorted everything out so quickly and efficiently, but most importantly, with genuine care. They also followed up with phone calls and emails to check on her progress, which meant so much. They also dealt with all of the insurance claim which is something I wouldn’t have known where to start! Emma is an incredible vet with a heart of gold. She made me feel Crumble was in safe hands, never rushed her and explained everything properly to me- I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend Ocean City Vets and only wish I had made the change sooner. Thank you so much for getting Crumble back to her happy, usual self. Your care and your whole team are absolutely outstanding.

  The best vets in Plymouth, they changed my dog into a whole new, happier dog! My dog, Bonnie, had been with a different chain vet brand since she was a puppy. Throughout her life she had a habit of licking and scratching frequently every day, she would also get ear infections quite regularly. Our old vets repeatedly wrote her conditions off as habits and just treated the ear infections with drops whenever they would appear. She was also terrified of our old vets and would shake uncontrollably and cry when we went there. Upon moving back to Plymstock, we decided to switch to Ocean City Vets. Immediately, the care and attention we were shown was remarkable. Bonnie was made to feel comfortable with the vet, they would ease her into her appointment with treats and fussing so that she would feel less stressed. Sinéad saw us for Bonnie's introductory appointment and immediately noticed Bonnie's red paws and mouth from the excess licking. She discussed Bonnie's behaviours with us and informed us that she likely had some kind of allergy which will have been causing her low-level discomfort all of her life, as well as causing the recurring ear infections. We were prescribed a new medication which we give Bonnie daily and ever since, she has been a completely different dog. The scratching and licking has pretty much stopped completely besides the occasional normal scratch and she hasn't had an ear infection since she has started taking her allergy medication in the last year. The vets is no longer a scary place for Bonnie and when we do visit, we leave the vets feeling happy rather than distressed. I would recommend Ocean City Vets to anyone who wants to give their pet the proper care that they deserve.

  I took my dog Wilson for a meet and greet initial consultation. I couldn't believe how friendly yet professional this place is. Our consultation didn't feel rushed and the vet was a great listener, even though I'm a self confessed dog bore😂 Wonderful place, wonderful staff and I'm so reassured that my best buddy will have Ocean City Vets looking out for him.

  We joined this practice as nearer to our home than our previous vets. We took our new puppy Skye along and the first thing that impressed me was the totally calmness of the practice it had an American style feel to it, a feeling that they fully get that our pet mean so much to us. Skye was looked after really well having both her inoculations done and having her nails clipped for the first time. The following day we had cause to visit again as Skye had become constipated and was crying to poo. They examined her well emptied her anal gland and offered a probiotic paste to help her. They also gave me dietary advice for a Shih Tzu. We added fruit to her meals as advised ( which she absolutely loves ) this has made her much better and she is now going to the toilet with ease. I am so happy to have found this practice as it’s laid back but efficient attitude is calming both to pets and owners. One suggestion I did make was maybe a water cooler drinks dispenser for the summer months as the building is very warm. All in all though a thoroughly lovely practice I would recommend. Xx

  I can't speak highly enough of this vets! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the environment is homely and not giving sertil hospital. But what I want to thank them for the most and let all of you know is, they were beyond amazing when it was time to say goodbye to our beloved blue. The way they really gave us the time we needed to process to grieve to say that final goodbye was everything. The staff were so gentle and supportive with both ourselves and our boy. I can't thank them enough for that. They really are one of a kind! To anyone on the fence about moving do it!! You won't find kinder people to help you will all your beloved pets needs! Now they get the pleasure of seeing Milo and Bonnie and I look forward to the long relationship they will get with my other dogs knowing that they are in the safest of hands! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
