Shocking place. My dog developed vestibular disease last week and i contacted the pdsa. They informed me that my dog was not registered under my name and was under my exs name so they wouldnt see him as i would have to register myself and they arent accepting new people. I plan on getting my dogs details off them as i want to know when this change was made. My dog was last there in 2024 and I rang the pdsa and i took my dog there myself, so whats changed? I havent changed my dogs ownership so if he was under my exs name then why was i allowed to deal with everything? Every time i have taken my dog to the pdsa it has been me that done it, not my ex. So moving forward i will be getting my dogs records, putting a formal complaint in and taking the complaint to the RCVS as i do believe this comes under negligence. From the pdsa's website "Always contact your vet if your dog has symptoms of vestibular disease, and ask for a same-day appointment if they are vomiting or seem distressed." yet the pdsa to turn round and say my dog isnt under my name yet seen him with me the last time he was there? It doesnt make sense. Edit. I emailed on the 9th and 14th January requesting their complaints procedure and my dogs information as I want to know when his ownership was changed. No response so I shall go into branch to get this information and escalate my complaint to the RCVS.

Cannot fault the service, called up the night before and got my nanas dog booked in and registered even though we where very concerned and stressed the receptionist handled it perfectly, we had some online advice about the dogs situation that helped slightly. We called the next day as the problem had got alot worse and an appointment was made straight away unfortunately my nanas dog willow had to be put to sleep due to a major issue that would only get worse and we trusted the vets advice.Willow died with dignity, love and care and we felt like they had done everything right.Thank you

I sorry to write this but I really found most of the Vetinary staff quite rude and not very sympathetic or compassionate, reception staff a lot more caring also the older lady vet with Bob blonder hair is lovely, but the others never even tried to put the pet or ourselves at ease,I k ow they deal with situations everyday but come on your dealing with people who are grieving and animals that are suffering

Based in Acklam. It was easy to find with lots of parking onsite. I would recommend checking opening times and booking appointment.

Not happy with my last visit, my dog was put down without me being there. Paid £150 for test to be done by lunch time, and the rest £150 at the end of the treatment depending on a test results, Vets I saw she told me to leave him here He can’t go anywhere now but for test and treatment or to be put down. My dog was turning 14 years this July. They left me in very awkward position because I had to pay straight away I don’t have any benefits. They don’t do any monthly payments. If you pet needs good vets go private at least they have other options to pay. I was stressing out just because he was unwell, then Vet made me more panic. She said I can’t take me anywhere. I paid it less then 30 mins I had phone call they can’t do anything my dog now stressed out they suggested to put him to sleep I said I’m coming over now, she told me it has to be done immediately because he got infection that can be spread across. Basically made big drama about it. We sat there since 9:10am they call me past 11am She said we have policy to do it without you. I literally fuming over whole experience I couldn’t even say goodbye to my first dog that’s now effecting my mental health. This vest has no sympathy. They didn’t offered me any paw prints or anything. Whole experience was disgraceful!!! For those who still have pets go to private vets instead. I made big mistake by coming here instead on my Vet4pets
