Receptionist was cheery and helpful. Vet was extremely helpful, answered my questions and was easy to talk to. He Explained the options and the cost and there was no pressure to make a decision. I would recommend Roston Drive vets to anyone without hesitation.

Send my dog’s history 3 times and they still said they didn’t have it. Confirmed a date and time appointment over phone and they even send a text to only be told that they had me one week later and on top of that the receptionist was rute disrespectful and haven’t apologised at all . On my last visit I booked over the phone the free dental check to get there and find out that the appointment was in the system for wormer on the plan care they have that I never signed up … advise the doctor and receptionist that’s not correct and receptionist still made me pay the consultation. Send a formal email complain and requested a full refund only to be emailed back to be told that the manager in on holiday until the 20th July. Doctors are amazing but unfortunately before and after them you need to deal with the reception staff

We had an appointment at 5.15pm, but didn’t get in to see a vet until 25 minutes later. No apologies/sorry to keep you waiting etc which I didn’t think was great when you have an anxious dog. Receptionist when we arrived not particularly friendly at all. Vet himself was ok, but didn’t seem to want to make much of an effort with my pooch, which I’ve not really experienced before. All in all, very average and didn’t make us feel valued as customers. Vet gave us barely 5 mins when we eventually got seen and then charged us £91 for the privilege. 😬

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional care when it really mattered I visited Medivet Hinckley – Roston Drive yesterday evening with my Bengal cat, Rita, as it was the most local Medivet open on a Saturday. My usual practice is Medivet Bermuda Park, so this was our first visit here — and I honestly couldn’t fault the experience. Booking the appointment was simple and straightforward, and on arrival the clinic was quiet, spotlessly clean, and very well organised. From the moment we walked in, the reception lady was absolutely lovely — friendly, calm, and reassuring, which really helps when you’re worried about your pet. The vet who treated Rita was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and clearly very experienced. Everything was explained clearly, and I really appreciated being given options along with honest recommendations, rather than being rushed or pressured. Rita received three injections (pain relief, anti-nausea and antibiotics), and we were sent home with a course of oral antibiotics to start the following evening, along with a bottle of liquid chicken solution to help with hydration and nutrition — such thoughtful, thorough care. Rita was handled with such kindness and patience throughout, which means everything to me as an owner. You could genuinely tell that her comfort and wellbeing were the priority at all times. The only downside was the cost (£206+ for consultation and medication), which is undeniably expensive — but I do understand that veterinary care isn’t cheap, and there really is no price on your animal’s health. The level of care, professionalism and reassurance we received absolutely reflected the service provided. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice and would happily return if needed. Thank you to the whole team for looking after Rita so well 🐾💙

I brought my dog in; we had previously taken him there after he was diagnosed with COPD a couple of months earlier. During an emergency visit because he was struggling to breathe, the veterinary staff didn't check his medical history beforehand to understand his existing conditions. Approximately 20 minutes later, they informed me that he had been put on oxygen. After another 20 minutes and a phone call with my mother, I was devastatingly informed that my dog was going to be euthanized. I then requested the opportunity to say a final goodbye to my dog, providing him comfort in his last moments, as well as solace for myself, considering we had cherished him as part of our family for 11 years. Sadly, my request was denied, as they believed it needed to be done immediately. When my mother called the next day and raised the issue that I was not allowed to say goodbye, the person on the phone explained it was because I was in an emotional state. In my opinion, this veterinary clinic ranks as one of the worst I have ever encountered. The fact that they deprived me of the chance for closure and comfort for my dog while making that decision on my behalf is truly disheartening. Naturally, I was distraught and in tears, but it's a sentiment anyone would experience in such a situation. They demonstrated a lack of sympathy and understanding. I strongly advise against choosing this veterinary clinic if you expect your animals to receive proper care. I've included some photos of George below. It's distressing to think that he was left to pass away in a room with strangers on a cold metal table. Apologies for the straightforward language, but he didn't deserve that fate.
