  I booked anal flush procedure for our dog, which includes sedation as he does not let anyone touch his anal side. We had exactly the same procedure last year in April (less than a year ago) in Essex, where we moved from in December 2024. We paid for this procedure £435 in Essex last year and Medivet sent us estimate invoice last week da late afternoon (procedure was booked for follow morning). The invoice was for £1000!!! How on earth can exactly identical procedure cost £435 in Essex and £1000 in rural area of Lincolnshire! If this is not exploitive practice then I don't know what it is. We took our dog to Kirk’s Vets instead in Sleaford and yesterday he had his anal flush done, all for £400. Medivet is extremely poorly and exploitive practice. I emailed Medivet last week with my complaint and I have had no response from them.

We are now left with having to look for a different vet as there is no way we will pay £1000 for procedure that we paid less than £500 not that long ago. This is extremely poorly and exploitive practice. Update 18/02/2025 Further to Medivet’s response to my review here, my wife emailed them the day before I wrote this review and until now she has had no response. So them stating to email the concerns over and they will respond is completely false.
