  We could not recommend NDSR enough. We took our Bengal cat Phoebe Sparkles to see Francesca for her 2nd follow up scan after she had had surgery for a Thymoma. We mentioned this time about her rapid breathing and immediately Francesca got Joao one of the Cardiologists to examine her and then explain the situation thoroughly to us. Although the diagnosis was not what we had hoped for, they have given us a care plan for her and we could not praise them enough for their exemplary care and compassion. Thank you to all the staff

  Visited today for an appointment with the Ophthalmic Department and had a consultation with the very pleasant and knowledgeable Andra-Elena Enache. What a delightful experience from start to finish as all the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful and after a long unhurried session with many and various procedures a firm diagnosis was reached and a plan of action for the future put into place. I have been a staunch supporter financially of the RCVS for many years and have had to visit the main hospital in Hertfordshire with previous dogs on several occasions and the care that is always offered from all branches of this organisation is always exemplary. Thank You so much Andra-Elena and I have taken your advice and booked for a blood test to check Mickey’s Kidney function

  My 3.5 year old border collie was injured two months ago after jumping too high, twisting and landing badly and sustaining a bad carpal injury. We were referred to Dr Andy Craig in orthopaedics. We were incredibly impressed with Dr Craig. His communication was excellent throughout (including via email). I am a solicitor and am fairly well versed in biomedical matters so of course read all the latest peer reviewed articles on the proposed procedure (pan carpal arthrodesis)… and sent five pages of questions to Dr Craig. Doctors in my own family rolled their eyes. I fully expected to pay for another consult to get these questions answered. Dr Craig took the time to address all my questions in writing. No charge. (For those who think vets and Harley St doctors are all in it for the money — Dr Craig is a fine example of professionalism and analytical rigour who clearly puts his canine patients first.) Financially, Dr Craig had nothing to gain by our dog not undergoing surgery yet suggested deferring surgery when several weeks after the initial consult (and a week before scheduled surgery), he reviewed videos of her and suggested further monitoring rather than going ahead with surgery. We have just sent him further videos after that deferral period of 3 weeks and Dr Craig has yet again confirmed that ongoing Conservative management (ie no surgery) is the most appropriate approach at this stage. Dr Craig had suggested a bespoke brace from a Swedish company and when the company had questions about the brace, they engaged directly with him and he engaged in return, simplifying my life as an end user. While we cannot be sure that our dog won’t need surgery at some point, I have felt our dog has been given great care and superb communication from Dr Craig. If we do have to proceed to surgery at some point, there is no question in my mind who we will want to do the procedure. Dr Craig has earned our trust and respect. We are very grateful for his care. A shout out as well to the reception team at NDSR who clearly do a good job in facilitating the excellent communications between surgeons and pet parents.

  Jordina and her team were amazing when treating and looking after my boy Harley. My boy suddenly developed grade 5 ivdd and they booked us in for an emergency referral that same day. Jordina was so compassionate and understanding and explained everything. During his hospitalisation the nurses allowed my partner and I to visit to spend time with him. Even know Harley never made it home, it brings comfort to me knowing he was well looked after and spoilt in his final days. Thank you so much for everything.

  I was recommended NDSR and I am so glad I was. We have had the best experiences there. They done my xl bully Star 1st TPLO operation last year and this year, she had her second. They looked after her so well and her operations were both a success. We are so grateful to Andy Craig and all the vet nurses there. She officially got signed off today. Unfortunately my staffy Lola has ended up there now too and has had her 1st TPLO last week. I know she will smash her recovery like her sister. We shall be going back still to get her fully recovered. They have looked after both my girls so well. I would not go anywhere else now. People moan about the prices but I would rather pay for quality and the service we have received. You get what you pay for. Thank you so much everyone.
