  Horizon Vets truly are something special. We take our ever-growing pack of rescues and our sometimes-troublesome Cavaliers to Alex and the team, and what they’ve achieved is incredible — our dogs have gone from being terrified of the vets to running through the doors with excitement to see everyone. From the very first step inside, you’re greeted with kindness. Laura and Phillipa welcome you like family, and the veterinary nurses are nothing short of amazing. Since moving to Wales from England, this is without question the best veterinary care our dogs have ever received. Every visit, it’s clear that our dogs come first and that the team genuinely cares — not just about the animals, but about us too. When Nicholas, one of our older Cavaliers, had a seizure, we were terrified. We rushed him in, and Alex acted quickly, calmly, and with such compassion. Thanks to that care, our little man is now back to his usual shenanigans, and we’ll always be grateful for that. A huge shoutout to Greg as well, who somehow managed to vaccinate eight of our dogs and always greets the MadCavs with a smile. He clearly loves seeing our charming group of Cavaliers eagerly awaiting their appointments — even when William sneaks off to help himself to the biscuit jar!

  Horizon vets have just been amazing. Mabel who is only 10 months has undergone two surgeries on her leg and today has been spayed. Its been a tough few months for her and us but all the staff (receptionists, nurses and Alex the vet) have made things a lot easier by showing so much care and understanding. Highly recommend this practice. Thank you to everyone.

  An amazing experience. We had to take the very sad decision to have our dog Scruff put to sleep and Horizon Vets were absolutely amazing with both Scruff and ourselves. Not an easy thing for any animal lover to have to do but Horizon were compassionate, reassured us that this was the final gift we could give him. They did not rush us , they explained the whole procedure and were very attentive. The room was very calming abd the staff were just amazing. A few days after we received a lovely card in the post. I cannot recommend Horizon Vets enough. I will move my younger dog to them immediately. Thank you so much to all of you.

  Since registering with Horizon vets Newport Spytty retail they have been amazing the staff are so welcoming. Having taken my cat buddy there for treatment to have his teeth removed the vet Tracey has been amazing. Explaining everything about the procedure to aftercare. Very reasonable pricing I would definitely recommend them. Thank you horizon vets

  First visit to Horizon today for vaccination boosters with my five year old cockapoo... Over the years we have been to every vets in Newport, they have mostly been ok, but that's just it, they have just been ok! Horizon Vets today were exceptional in every respect, from Phillipa on reception to Emma the vet, they were none other than super pleasant and professional, they didn't rush us, they explained everything in detail and most importantly for me, they treated my dog with kindness from start to finish. So in summary, amazing service, by far the best vets in Newport, we certainly won't be going anywhere else for our veterinary requirements 👍🐕‍🦺
