I went to this vet for the 1st time tonight. I have 3 cats and 4 dogs and my vets had become increasingly impersonal, expensive and unavailable. One of my birman's had visited my previous vets for a cat bite but it was still troubling her and I called around to find an alternative. I was initially impressed by the individual who answered the call in Heathfield (there are two practices) she was really helpful, polite and I managed to get an appointment the same day. On arrival in Uckfield, it is clearly a very well managed practice. Tiddler saw the practice owner vet and he did not hesitate to properly examine her mouth, the site of the bite - the opposite of the previous vet - you could tell he really understood and liked animals hence she allowed him to examine her without any issues. I'm so relieved, I'd lost faith in the vet system but I stumbled across this gem... privately and proudly maintained, open on a Saturday, open up 7pm on a Friday - James Herriot would be proud! Thank you Henley House...

This vet will maximise your bill with a vast array of unnecessary extras. Seriously, over £600 to treat a minor cut on a cat's leg. Do not use this place unless you have very good insurance cover or a massive disposable income.

Thanks to the team at Henley House vets for looking after our Jasper. He had to go in for major surgery, the vet explained the procedure and its risks so we could make an informed decision. On the day of the operation the team kept us fully informed on his progress and when we picked him up they gave us all the information we needed to look after him post-op. They showed great care for Jasper and over the two weeks post-op we have been able to call with updates and questions. Jasper has been seen for his post op checks and again we have been fully supported by the whole team at Henley House. Thanks to the whole team.

I can’t thank the team at Henley House Vets enough for the care and compassion they showed when I had to say goodbye to my beloved guinea pig, Piggy. It was such a heartbreaking time, but every single member of staff treated me — and Piggy — with the utmost kindness and respect. They gave me the time and space I needed, and their gentle, understanding approach made an incredibly difficult moment just that little bit more bearable. It meant so much to feel supported and not rushed. I could truly tell how much they care, not just about animals, but also about the people who love them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping Piggy pass peacefully and for being there for me during such a sad time. You made a painful experience one filled with dignity and love and the sympathy card you sent was a lovely thought.

Really bad experience with this practice. It's taken a while to write this review but I feel I need to do it. My dog was very ill and it became clear she needed to be put to sleep. The vet was totally unsympathetic and I was basically told that I needed to make a decision quickly because he had other plans that Saturday afternoon. He came across as if he really couldn't care less .Really bad experience that has stayed with me for quite a long time. Fortunately I haven't had such a bad experience with any other vet since. Have recently moved back into the area but definitely wouldn't go back to Henley House Uckfield. I must add though that the reception staff and nurses couldn't have been nicer.
