I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Granta for being so lovely. And to the wonderful vet who saved our Buddy, and the wonderful nurses who cared for him after surgery. I honestly cannot thank you all enough. Buddy is doing really well, so thank you from the bottom of my heart x I have added a couple of photos of Buddy loving his steps I bought him so get into the sofa.
Read on Google →We cannot thank this vet surgery enough. Our dog, Mickey, slipped a disc and from the very first moment, Dr Max Foreman was incredible. Kind, patient and genuinely caring, he treated Mickey as if he were his own. We had to unexpectedly leave Mickey overnight initially, and then again later for his surgery. It was heartbreaking, but we had complete confidence that he was in the very best hands. Every single person at the clinic was compassionate and reassuring throughout. Mickey is now recovering well and we genuinely owe that to the skill, care and dedication of this team. He clearly adored Max too and didn’t seem in any rush to leave him when we came to pick him up, which says it all. Thank you for making what was a very stressful and worrying time so much easier for us. We could not recommend you more highly. Georgia, James, Mickey and Lulu
Read on Google →We were referred to Granta due to a lump on our dog's leg, initially thought to be soft tissue sarcoma. Our initial consultation was with veterinary oncologist, Sara Verganti, and we found her to be knowledgeable, professional and warm. Our pup was a big fan and spent a fair bit of the consultation getting every bit of fuss she could! It was Sara's recommendation that the lump be removed and so she requested the consultation of Jane Ladlow, who is a soft tissue specialist. Jane and Sara were friendly and confident throughout, reassuring us that our precious pup was in great hands. They were able to schedule our surgery for the following week and looked after our dog for 2 nights in their specialist overnight facility. The explanations about what would happen, and why, were thorough and sufficiently decoded for us non-medical folk. The surgery went well. The care didn't stop there, though, as we were requested to provide photographs of the wound during the healing process and prior to our appointment for the removal of stitches. This was an excellent follow-up care element and provided confidence that we were managing post operative care sufficiently. We received her lab results from the lump as soon as they were ready which really helped with the worry, and these were further explained and future options discussed at our follow-up appointment. Overall, the entire process was reassuring, thorough, and efficient. As great as all of this is for the humans involved, the true test was our dog's reaction. She was always calm and comfortable at Granta, and returned following surgery with a happy wagging tail and zero hesitation. An excellent referral centre with a genuinely helpful, educated and friendly team. Would not hesitate to recommend. Photograph of our poor, shaved girl, and one of her mandatory cone wardrobe (as she has been a total nightmare with her stitches!!)
Read on Google →We came to Granta with our girl Belle, and after a slight cross in communication on our first visit which was immediately dealt with. We got put in with Jackie. Jackie is an angel among vets she is wonderful, i am very much my dog is my child so was quite anxious as i didn't overly understand what she needed to have done. I needn't have been concerned; Jackie was extremely reassuring, validated my anxiety but left me feeling very confident about what was to happen. Belles care whilst there i cannot fault, and when we came to pick her up seeing videos and actually having her procedure explained was very cool. The nurses were lovely, aftercare was even better i had a phoned a couple of weeks later to update on Belles condition, and then i got a call from Jackie a couple months later to just make sure all was well. Whilst i hope i never have a pup that is unwell enough to warrant a visit, if i do i hope that it will be Jackie we see as we know we are in vary capable hands.
Read on Google →My dog Milo had eaten a foreign object resulting in a surgery to remove it, unfortunately this led to septic peritonitis. He was referred to Granta where they immediately gave him a revision surgery, the after care and the treatments they provided was phenomenal. They was clear and honest with me explaining how Milo’s chances were 50/50 and put treatments before the money. They gave him a chance and they saved his life. Their communication was everything, they said they would do everything in their power to save him and that they certainly did. Milo is now home within the week and we will all be forever grateful to them for their kindness and their amazing services. Jackie and Rob and the rest of the team did gold star treatment on my boy, thank you again to all of you at granta for what you have done!
