This really is the most wonderful practice to allow your pet to have the most calm, peaceful and dignified goodbye. We could not have wished for a more perfect final goodbye to our wonderful whippet girl, whilst she was cuddled with us on the sofa and with all her canine friends around her. The service, the compassion and the thoughtfulness were exemplary. After 14 years of love this was the very least we could do for her - I could not recommend James and Suzy any higher

We cannot thank James and Suzy enough for the service they provide. Saying goodbye to our beloved Angel in our home with the support of James was calm, peaceful and reassuring. The aftercare and compassion for us and our darling doggy has been a great comfort. From the handwritten condolence card to the personal return of Angel’s ashes to us following the respectful individual care and cremation by Debbie, we have genuinely felt supported and cared for at a most traumatic time. Angel 2010-2026 she was so loved and is dearly missed ❤️

Back in May our lovely Westie Mabel had some issues that the vet thought she might not recover from. We spoke to James at Fond Farewell Vets and he reassured us that she would most likely be back to normal in 2-3 days. And she was! We had another 7 months with her, but last week we knew that we needed to call James again as she was in a bad way - he immediately confirmed that he'd come and see her. His calm demeanour when he arrived immediately helped us know we were in good hands and he confirmed that we were doing the right thing for Mabel. He talked us through everything and gave us space and time to say our goodbyes. He made a hard situation that bit easier to get through. We're so grateful to James and Suzy that they offer this service and that we were able to say goodbye to Mabel at home.

I was aware of a couple of local vets who offered a home visit service, but after my practice mentioned Fond Farewell late on a Friday and I read their website I immediately knew that it was James I would like to attend my precious little dog and he very promptly and kindly arranged to come on the Monday morning, albeit we were somewhat out of area. James stayed in touch with us over the weekend to check how she was doing and when he arrived his calm manner, voice, empathy and whole holistic approach made a highly distressing time as beautiful a goodbye as it could have been. I remain comforted in the knowledge that with James my little dog received the most wonderful care and peaceful departure and I bless James and his wife Suzy with her follow up support for the incredible service they provide ❤️

So our beautiful 15 year old golden retriever Sophie needed someone to help her on her final journey so we got in touch with James and Suzy. From the moment James arrived at our house he treated Sophie with such a care and compassion and dignity that she deserved. He greeted her with such a lovely kind way that she instantly relaxed. At such a difficult time it was made so beautiful. Sophie passed peacefully away and is now in doggie heaven. So thank you James a true gentleman.
