Really good experience. Summer the student nurse was brilliant and so kind when handling my very old and nervous cat, so thank you! Have been coming here for years.

I just want to say a big thank you to the vet, Ute, who did a amazing job with my Jack Russell, Ollie, again. Ute had operated on him 3 years ago to remove his anal glands and again two weeks ago to remove a very large lump at the base of his tail. He is generally not an easy dog to handle as he gets very anxious and reactive. As my previous experiences with Ute’s ability have been excellent, I now always want Ute to operate on him, so I drove 1.5 hours to take him to her. I know that Ute always takes the best care of him and me. She is so patient and gentle with him, she took her time to put me at ease too. She explained everything that was involved with the op and really put my mind at rest. She gave Ollie a sedative to help him relax and he barely noticed the injection. The operation was a success and he recovered from it so quickly, he is so much happier now since having the lump removed. The removal of his anal glands 3 years ago was a big op and I wanted Ute to do it. Ute had explained all the details, recovery time and possible risks. The op was also a success and he suffered no long term adverse effects from their removal. I also want to mention the nurse, Amber, who was super and spent quite a chunk of time researching and giving me advice on suitable diet foods for Ollie long term as he gets older. Overall, I’m really pleased with the treatment my dog and I got at East Grinstead Vets. What a great team and I will not hesitate to recommend them and use them again in the future.

I am so impressed and grateful to the staff at East Grinstead veterinary center. They are professional, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Our dog was very ill and needed emergency surgery, the staff were wonderful with our dog who is quite anxious but also gentle and supportive to me as an owner. This is our first dog and we had not had him long and I was very upset and concerned about him needing surgery. The staff didn't make me feel bad but instead supported me and I firmly believe we got the best care possible. Explanations for treatment were thorough and clear and it is evident all staff act in the best interest of the animals in their care.

updated this Nov 2023 _ Richard , Claire and nurses_ Jess , summer and others have just nursed Freya over an awful bout of bad stomach. She's so tiny (5 ish kg)she kept getting dehydrated . So all day in vet with drip and I presume electrolyte etc. home at night cause 24 he via Tonbridge. I first used them in 1982 as a child, Mr hawkridge also did my horse then ! I have moved away now and again _ to greyhound specialist when rescued them but have to say always come back to them ! shame no 24 hour cover even when they have to stay in overnight. Simon very good at orthopaedic surgery. Claire very good with nervous dogs ! Richard good Laura good . Only two I'm not impressed with were Portuguese man and German ? Woman very rude. But 40 years using them has to say something!! I don't hesitate in recommending them . Have to add over the years unfortunately it has not always ended up happy days_ but to be expected with old dogs and sometimes no vet can fix them it's just their time . Photos are some of the dogs ! And my old horse Mr hawkridge would treat !

They are a really good vet. I found a golf ball size abscess on my dog. It was 6.45pm but they stayed open for me..I arrived and the vet was fantastic..so were reception staff. He explain everything in detail considering this was a Friday night. He didn't rush us through. Sassy is on antibiotics..and the vets advice to bathe it worked as it ruptured and she seem out of discomfort now. Best vets ever. She still looks a little sorry for herself bless.
