Didn't even manage to get through the door! My vets referred my dog as urgent, it was late afternoon so didnt expect to be in that day but not even a call. I had to call them at 10am the following day as still nothing, rude receptionist told me they would call back. When they called back they were more interested on if he was insured, if so how much, and that they wouldn't consider seeing him unless my insurance provider pre authorised the amount! At a time when a pet owner is most vulnerable and worried sick their was no compassion at all! I've heard wonderful things about the vets themselves, so please dont let that put you off, but my goodness the reception staff could do with some lessons in compassion and how to speak to people during a call! I wont be using their services!

Outstanding!! We rehomed our French bulldog & he had to have TECA on both ears due to neglect from the previous owner. They helped us with cost & took care of our boy. Sent us pictures once he had recovered from anaesthetic. They explained everything in detail & went through the plan thoroughly. So impressed with the after care also. Will always recommend.

Really impressed with Christchurch Veterinary Referrals! All of the staff are really friendly and professional and took great care of our dog when he needed surgery and stayed there for a week. The veterinarians are so informative, which helped us to understand the issue and gave us confidence that he was in the right hands. The nurses provide daily updates via an app which helped us to feel connected and confident about his recovery, and were able to ask questions when needed. Thank you to all the staff for all the help and support they have provided 💜

Our dog had his second cruciate ligament rupture and needed surgery, and we cannot thank Christchurch enough for the experience we have had so far. We were able to get our dog in quickly, the surgery went smoothly, we were even given an app to receive updates while he was there, his wound is so clean and tidy and he was putting weight on the leg the day after surgery. Incredible! We are so hopeful and feeling positive for his recovery. Thank you all.

Very very happy with everything so far!! Receptionist, surgeons , nurses ,physiotherapist, everyone was kind, friendly, caring ,respectful, and very professional. We saw Dr Shane, our dog had a TPLO surgery with him and he is such an admirable and friendly person but also very professional; He had patience explaining everything and answering our questions when we were anxious and scared .He did an amazing job with Keisha’s leg we are super happy with the results so far ; we are at week 4 in recovery and her leg is looking great and she is walking like nothing ever happened. When we removed the patch that was covering the surgery we were shocked at how well and nice her leg is looking and how the stitches and everything was done .wow Wonderful work! We still have a long journey for recovery but so far we are extremely happy with how things went and how everything is looking. At our 4 week consultation we saw dr Tom also and he was friendly, encouraging and nice we even had a good laugh with him remembering our anxiety from when we started this. The receptionists know what they are doing and are always welcoming ,have positive attitudes and are helpful. The whole team is amazing! I am glad we came here and chose this place , It was well worth our journey! Highly recommend ! Thank you!🤎
