About this practice
This veterinary practice offers a range of services focused on preventative care and diagnostic support for pets. While most investigative work is sent to external labs, the practice has in-house facilities for urgent testing. They provide comprehensive care to ensure the long-term health of animals. A key aspect of their service includes nurse clinics and a Pet Health Counsellor service, provided free of charge, to offer advice on various pet care topics such as vaccinations, dental health, nutrition, and mobility issues. They also offer resources like pre- and post-operative instruction leaflets and loan videos to help owners with at-home care. Practical information about the practice's location is provided by an embedded map, though specific details like opening hours, emergency services, or how to register are not immediately available from the provided content.
Castle Veterinary Centre is based at 61-63 Castle Boulevard, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG7 1FD in Nottinghamshire. The practice treats birds, cats, dogs, exotic/wild and small mammals. It is open at weekends and provides step-free access.

Amazing with my little baby especially a lady called Sam. All staff are amazing there but I felt she took a little more time to answer my questions and also felt comfortable with her as so did my fluffy 😊. Thank you so much 😊🙏🏻
Read on Google →I feel heartbroken writing this, but I would strongly urge people to think twice before using this veterinary clinic. My dog has been registered there for six years, and until now I had thankfully never needed them for anything serious. This week, that changed when my dog, Holly, suddenly became very unwell. Because it was the weekend when she first fell ill, I had no choice but to take her to Animal Trust in Thornaby. They were compassionate, reassuring, and genuinely seemed to care. I cannot recommend them enough, and I will now be transferring Holly there permanently. Following Animal Trust’s advice, when Holly didn’t improve, I took her back to her registered vets during their opening hours. I was told she needed blood tests costing £210, that we would have the results within 24 hours, and that we could then move forward with treatment. As a worried owner, you trust what you’re told, especially when your pet is suffering. £270 and 48 hours later, I still have a very poorly dog, no results, and no real answers about how we are going to make Holly better. Instead, I was told they needed more time, despite originally promising a 24-hour turnaround. When your pet is part of your family, every hour feels like a lifetime, and being left waiting with no clear communication is devastating. I truly feel this clinic is more focused on money than on the animals in their care. If your pet is just an ‘animal’ to you, you may not have an issue. But if your pet is your family, your companion, your everything — please choose somewhere that will treat them with the care, urgency, and compassion they deserve.
Read on Google →The nicest staff and vets who are extremely knowledgeable. They keep you informed and are so helpful. They genuinely care about your animals and know what they’re talking about, so I can’t recommend them more. Excellent service, thank you for looking after my cat with such dedication to her wellbeing and myself

Read on Google →I adopted two kittens in 2020 and very rapidly they both needed emergency care, as I didn’t do my research before getting them. One had completely stopped eating the night before and Castle Vets took the cats in first thing the next morning. They gave me realistic odds, outcomes, and talked about costs in a clear manner and handled my distress with compassion. They called when they said they would with updates and thankfully my cats beat the odds and made it through. Why write a review 4.5 years later? I regularly think of this practice and how grateful I am for their care and how they handled the situation Outside of emergency care, also had the cats spayed here and they answered my anxious phone calls on vomiting and behavior questions with grace. I recognize they’re not the cheapest option, or at least they weren’t four years ago, but the quality of care and compassion was worth every penny! For the vets: pepper and Nia are living their best lives and thankfully not needed any emergency care since
