  Very disappointed with the service I received. I took my cat in for an eye issue and paid around £90 for the consultation and treatment. During the visit, the vet carried out a thorough examination, including using dye to check for scratches, and told me they could not see anything serious. I was then given eye drops as a precaution and advised to monitor him at home. Despite following all instructions exactly, within a few days his eye became significantly worse. When I contacted the practice again, I was told I would need to pay a further £55 for another appointment, even though this is the same ongoing issue. I had originally been led to believe a follow-up after treatment would be around £30. As a pet owner, it’s very upsetting to see my cat’s condition deteriorate despite treatment, and then be asked to pay more just to have him rechecked. I understand consultations cost money, but I would have expected more support and flexibility given the situation. This experience has left me feeling let down and concerned about the level of aftercare provided.

  I've been going to Caerphilly vets for over 24 years, for both my cat whom we lost at age 18 years and 7 years for our dog. The care we have and do receive from Caerphilly vets is outstanding. Yesterday I visited their new building for the first time. It is easier to get to, easier to park and more spacious. It was lovely to see the same faces from the Caerphilly town branch. The service we receive is always outstanding and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

  I took 7 pups at 6 weeks old there today, I was a little bit worried that they would behave, the girls were marvellous, 3 of them came out to help me, and they stayed with them till we had all of their injections and chips done ! I felt like. They were in safe hands! Thank you ! Babs

  Very friendly & welcoming on arrival. Reception is spacious & laid out in a way segregation waiting available if required. All Vets & nurses super friendly, kind & calm with all my dogs. Have provided me with gold star service since we registered in 2025.

  The best vets I’ve ever used. We had to put our lovely greyhound to sleep last week and I’m so so glad we made the decision to switch vets a few months back. He wasn’t the easiest dog at the vets but the level of care, compassion and professionalism shown by all members of staff from reception to vets was exceptional. It made a very hard time that little bit easier.
