After bringing our 2.5 year-old Arlo to them at the absolute brink of death due to severe kidney issues after an urgent referral, they quite literally gave us our girl back. Arlo spent nearly 7 days in intensive care, and during one of the most terrifying weeks of our lives, the team at Bristol Vet Specialists showed nothing but exceptional care, compassion, and expertise. In particular, Lorna, Mafalda & Kostas. Each member of the team from front desk, back of house, ICU team & main office are by far the best in the field. Every single member of staff treated Arlo as if she were their own. Their knowledge and attention to detail were outstanding, and their communication was second to none, keeping us informed, reassured, and supported every step of the way. Even in the most uncertain moments, they took the time to explain everything clearly and honestly, while never losing their warmth or empathy. Thanks to their dedication, Arlo is now on the road to recovery, something we feared might never be possible. What they do here goes far beyond veterinary care — it’s lifesaving work carried out with genuine heart. Bristol Vet Specialists is truly one of a kind, and our family will be forever indebted to them for giving us more time with our precious girl. Thank you will never be enough ❤️❤️❤️

We were referred here after an eye ulcer our dog Fig was having treated at our local vets went nasty very suddenly. Emily, Ploy, Jen and the whole ophthalmology team have been amazing through the whole process. At every stage of Fig’s treatment, they explained clearly our choices, the risks and the costs. With every set of medication we were given, we received explicitly clear instructions, a colour coded schedule with timings for all medications, and a line we could call 24 hours a day for support. Our dog ended up having two surgeries, the latter of which was to remove her eye. Although the outcome was sad, the ophthalmology team couldn’t have done any more than they did and they genuinely were invested in our dog’s care. We’re so grateful for the team here and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring any of our pets here in future.

We brought our dog Lady here after having been referred for a ct on her elbow for a dysplasia diagnosis. We saw Luis and his team and he was fantastic with her. He was also very informative to us. We came back after 7 months for Lady to have a surgery and once again he was brilliant keeping us in the loop, ringing us to tell her how she is, and really cared for Lady. Would highly recommend this vets and Luis to everyone who should need their services
